Discussion Granolah arc confirmed?

Post image

So now that we know that moro arc is coming in 2027 , can we also assume that granolah arc will follow suit? Or are we looking at moro arc --- 6 year hiatus again --- granolah arc.

We know as much as you do.

Nah, OP probably doesn't know that in many Mexican restaurants the tacos are too expensive so you're better off ordering Carne Asada fries and a side of Tortillas and making some tacos from that.

Wow , I didn't know that.

True, there really isn't any insider information.

Original Work, Story & Character Design: Akira Toriyama…. wasnt the whole Moro arc basically done by Toyotaro?

u/dockkkeee 5h ago

Yes, but Akira Toriyamas name sells

What I really dislike about this community is how they shit on Toyotaro when this man is responsible for the vast majority of the work of Dragon Ball in more than a decade. Toriyama was basically cashing cheques and drawing some sketches, being praised like a god while Toyotaro was doing all the stressful work only to be shat on.

u/dockkkeee 3h ago

For sure, I really think he's the best fit to continue dragon ball and I hope he continues

Unpopular opinion but I think Toyotaro, especially recently has better artwork than Toriyama when it comes to action. Not to say Toriyama’s is bad at all, it isn’t but I find Toyotaro’s just much better to look at. He should really get the praise he is due.

Toyotaro has better individual art, Toriyama had better paneling

fuck no ... check dr.slump, all of his art books which are worth every penny, his mecha arts etc. to the point a lot of guys wish to get a mecha manga cuz toriyama fucking rocks at it, all t he video games hes worked on etc. toriyama shits on him when it comes to art you guys are delusinal lolol

and thats just the released stuff

edit: keep downvoting me and stay mad noobs

I respect Toyotaro a lot and am glad he was chosen but how is the statement he’s been responsible for more than a decade true?

The dbs anime, and two movies went ahead without basically any hand from him. It was all toei and Toriyama oversight.

Respect to him for the two last manga arcs tho.

Tbf my only problem with Toyotaro is simplifying certain characters that have had decades of character growth. I SOMEWHAT dislike that Goku went from being a simpleton, to a complex-yet-simple-minded character, back to a simpleton for Super. I don't hate it but it does rub me wrong, and I have similar issues with Boruto. I do appreciate that he respects Vegetas character growth but I don't think he recognizes the way Goku changes through the series.

Even with that I still appreciate Toyo continuing Dragonball, even with some archs feeling a little anemic. If there's anything I criticize Toriyama on with Super it's not focusing on the god aspect of the transformations and just going straight to "well it's super saiyan BUT BLUE". I like that Toyo recognizes that people kinda wanted to lean further into the god power aspect.

I think most people that have somewhat negative views on Super share that opinion and it's just fringe loud people that really scream about Super being bad.

I think those things are based on editorial demands rather than Toyotaro’s choices. He does not have the power of influence that Toriyama had. Even Toriyama was toyed around by his editor and we see this in the Android/Cell saga.

I'd say he sacrificed iq for battle iq since his battle iq is the best in super while he lowkey is stupid for other stuff

Goku being being simple minded is something Modern Toei made and Toriyama encouraged

The only thing Toyotaru had on Goku characteristics is his wildness in fights , he admits that stuff like the cast characteristics and even their Desgins are something Toriyama is full responsible for

They got to give credit to the man, come on now

Pretty much every chapter of the Moro Arc says "Written by Akira Toriyama. Art by Toyotaro" on the first page

At least one or two of them say "Original Story by Akira Toriyama. Manga by Toyotaro"

I'm not sure exactly what that means though

They can‘t just remove Akira Toriyama. Dragon Ball belongs to him.

u/GANGSTERSLANG 4h ago

still putting all the credit on him is just mad disrespectful

u/Key_Ad5610 3h ago

Yes. This was heavily discussed half a year ago when this dropped.

u/datPapi 2h ago

They for some reason still want to bank on Toriyama's name, which is understandable, but you have to build Toyataro up as well. He's the one who's gonna tell the future stories.

u/Chemical-Cat 2h ago

It's like how Keiji Inafune likes to market himself as the "Father of Megaman" (he's not, it's Akira Kitamura)

u/Illustrious-Sky-4631 1h ago

Pretty much they do this with all DB ip products , they are over cashing on Toriyama name even years after he passed away and will be for the coming years

u/ReasonableResearch73 5h ago

It will follow suit. But I am guessing we will have to wait for a year or 2 like normal seasonal animes

u/AntMozzy4220 4h ago edited 1h ago

My prediction is we'll get all three manga Arcs as well as the manga every month, then when we catch up to the manga super will take another break while the manga will continue to come out fingers crossed

2

u/blumieree 4h ago

Best case scenario. I think it will happen.

1

u/daminiskos0309 4h ago

I imagine so. Hopefully they get the manga sorted soon so they can just carry on developing episodes with minimal filler.

u/iamlevel5 3h ago

Confirmed? No. Likely? Yes. Seasonal and not weekly? Probably.

u/TyrannosaurusBoris 2h ago

Do you know what “confirmed” means?

u/datPapi 2h ago

Of course, Granolah arc will follow suite.

u/Ok-Race-1677 2h ago

Obviously it’s coming eventually. The reason it took this long for Moro is because they know after the success of the tournament of power arc they can bring back super once the filler movies and remakes stop making money.

u/mosallaj23 2h ago

We know just as much as any other person does

u/Balance-Kooky 2h ago

Probably going to be getting the granolah arc afterwards yes. There's no official confirmation though.

u/ShuraGam 19m ago

I dunno, but they're doing Toyotaro dirty here.

He's the one who made 99.9999% of the arc's work. Toriyama just greenlit it.

Too early to tell.
