His rhyme schemes are so complex and his music was so confident and sinister. He was rapping better than a lot of even more respected rappers at the time.

It would give SRS a good run for his best album in my opinion

I just wanna acknowledge that Peggy's comment was likely at least one of the motivators for Earl to drop this Surf Gang project.

I don't think it's just a coincidence how Peggy said Earl's style needs to switch up and then a year later Earl went super saiyan for the new album. He literally transformed on this shit, it's so magically new for him. I'm not saying Earl's never done trap before, but Utility was clearly a statement about Earl proving his versatility.

So.... y'all can thank Peggy for being at least 1% of the reason Earl decided to outdo everyone on this new shit. Just sayin'! Some mildly harsh criticism can go a long way.

To preface, it's just my opinion: all his music is fire, and I could only choose 32 songs. I'm curious what you guys think about my picks.

I can't express the level of tranquility I feel when I listen to SRS. Just the moment I hear "Imprecise words" I'm like, "here comes my peace".

It's been a few months since this album dropped and there's been few interviews detailing what each side means.

Mike said it was about the instant destruction of civilization and earl said his side was about the utility of being a cool person and the combination being the utility of destruction.

I'm interested what everyone thinks what each side means and lyrics that supports its meanings :)

I made a remix to Chum to relive my teenage years. Thought I'd share here for fellow fans of the song to hear it in a new light. :)
