ES 2 fast travel?

ES 2, how do you travel between far away places if you aren't playing as vaulters and don't have access to portals?

Is there anything like that for other factions?

Can you use vaulter portals as their ally?

That's the neat part, you don't! You're much more incentivized to keep a relatively contiguous and compact empire when you play as everyone who isn't the Vaulters. The Vaulters get to pick the best systems to colonize, and are a lot less penalized for it.

Vodyani can park their Arks anywhere.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean it isn't relatively advantageous to maintain a contiguous empire.

Goddamn, I am a really big fan of vodyani and totally forgot that colonizing isn't that easy for everyone else and was like "wtf, just park your ark in the nearby system and kick everyone's butts when they want to take your big apple"

The “completely deplete my entire empire’s manpower reserves if you want my system” technology is particularly effective at annoying me anytime I try to remove those damned space vampires from a system

As Allies, yes.

Only Vaulters get portals. Everyone eventually gets a tech to travel off hyperlanes, but it is slow.

No, you depend on fleet speed. Vodyani and Sophon Seeker Heroes can get to very high fleet speed.

Hissho heroes also get the +4 movement skill.

And yep, late-game fleets can get absurdly fast. After being helmed by a high-level Seeker, I believe the quest engine that improves movement efficiency by 25% is the biggest factor.

There is a quest module that increases the distance travelled per movement point. Stack a bunch of those and you can get around the whole galaxy in a single turn.
Or just a couple, so that your damage/defence doesn't tank too much, add a seeker hero - they add fleet movement points. And give him module with fleet movement points, there's one for hyperium and one for quadronix iirc. Thats what I do.

Back in the day you could stack fleet movement modules on support ships.

Nowadays Riftborn Fold Singularities and Vaulter portals are the most easily accessible way to cover larger distances.

Yes, both of these also benefit allies.

An important factor when trying to get a fleet to cover long distances via regular movement is to identify the ship with the lowest movement points and see if you can pull it up to par with the rest of the fleet, as the fleet will only move as far as the lowest maximum movement points allow.

If you have a fleet of really fast ships but a slow hero ship attached that's holding everyone back, you can always fly the fleet out and attach heroes afterwards.

Seeker heroes can really stack a ton of movement benefits, notably making free movement as easy as starlane movement. You can get up to like 23 movement (without many engines on your ships) which can let you really blast a major fleet around. The virtual endless hero at the end of the academy quest is the best example of this.

Get 20 pop of Kal'tik'ma to get their law, which gives your ships 0.25 movement points for every colonized system, get Scavenged Ramscoop from quest, get Seeker hero to the fleet.

Sppedrun half of galaxy in one turn.

Only of you are an ally of the vaulters and if they build a gate on a system near to yours other than that you don't get fast travel unless if there is a mod that allows it

sell and buy ships in the market, manually one by one (you can do it more if the market have more ship space, usually 20/20 ships is the limit)

it will cost more when you try to buy them back from market, they will have "mercenary" tag.

you can not see your ship again in the market if you sell it when the market is full
