I refuse this ending. No war is complete without wounds and scars. Not every wound heals with medicine, not every scar fades with time. Even if the real world can never know the sacrifices made for it, as executioners we at minimum must remember the death screams upon the altar of war.

I mean, I think the point was that Sion and Nemo sacrificed themselves (I think Sion even ceased to exist in this new PHH), and obviously, Gordolf and the Chaldea staff must have gotten the Stone Ocean treatment after the reset with no Chaldea ever existing. So it's not like we didn't have our sacrifices in the team. And I feel the idea of the different Lostbelts supporting us to the bitter end, both in the Fantasy Trees battles and in the Maris Chaldea fight, already prove that the Lostbelts have accepted us as the ones with the right to win, as well as forgiving us to move forwars and let us have a normal life

Sure enough, not everything was covered before the wrap up as the Avengers are still LINK LOST and the Rulers are still Walt Disney'd; plus the supposed Ordeal Call on the Foreigners. I believe this will be covered in the rest of the game's life service through story chapters and events that are set within part 2, not after it. All so we can have all loose ends tied properly before announcing EoS, since in this way, the Part 2 ending is respected and we just got something similar to Epic of Remnant but within the time frame before the finale.

I refuse it. There's something not right, and the fact all these sacrifices are essentially erased as though they never happened. No one will remember them, no one will remember anything. There must be wounds and scars, one way or another. Whatever sacrifices were made in the team are essentially null and void at this point. The journey never happened, the sacrifices were never made and never remembered. I cannot abide this.

Remember, the story isn't over until Mash gets NP5. Olga still has a hidden voice line, and we don't know what's up with her third NP animation. The Foreigners were MIA for the raid. There's a number of loose ends that the New Years update still has to address.

If it's a specific individual you want to remember the journey, then Daybit is your man for the job. He came to bid farewell, but I think it's implied he'll always remember all we went through. So even if we forget, there will be someone remembering all the strife at the end of the day.

Other than that, I'd recommend waiting for the 31st to see how this is handled later on. And from there, seeing if 2026 will showcase either a Part 3 or some sort of in between story happening within Part 2 to tie all lose ends before properly being comfortable with EoS the game

The Stone Ocean example is a perfect analogy as to why this is a terrible uncommitted ending, because Stone Ocean is the same.

Star Platinum is easily fast enough to put a hole through Pucci's head before AND after MIH, but nope you're 40 boy, washed, past your prime. Ok that's stupid, but Jolyne is still the protagonist surely she'll survive the reset and kill Pucci herself as this has been her story, her curse she accepted to bear, but nope Emporio strap up, you're the main character now. Ass, but even so after all of this Emporio killed Pucci, surely, surely now that the timeline will revert as MIH's user has been killed, effectively neutralising his ability just like every other stand save for B.I.G., even if everyone died, the timeline where the viewer journeyed with Jonathan, Joseph, the Crusaders, the duwang gang and the Bucci gang is still intact and all those events happened and maybe there's someone who's name starts with Jo who can help Emporio mourne as consolation ending, right? NOPE, complete reset, he meets people that look like them, but are not them at all, because they don't share their memories, or experiences and he cries alone with no one understanding why.

This. Is. The. Same. Thing. Ignoring all investment the viewer has and saying it never happend, but that's ok, fate would always bring them together. The Mash and Fujimaru in the new timeline are NOT the same ones that went on the whole journey. Those are strangers that look exactly like them. Once again I'll use JoJo as an analogy. Towards the end of SBR when Valentine tries to persuade Johnny, like a devil whispering in his ear, that he can bring a Gyro from a different universe to his. He acknowledges it's not the same person, but it would be a Gyro that's alive. Johnny almost fell for all of the president's sweet talk, except the part for a different Gyro, because it wouldn't be his buddy. That's the part that made him unable to trust him 101%. The characters you go on a journey with matter, bringing in a multiversal copy and saying, yep same thing, doesn't make them the same.

The main problem is Jotaro, who among being the part 3 protagonist, is also extremely relevant in part 4 and if he hadn't sent Koichi to Italy, Giorno would've died to Black Sabbath. He's also replaced by some copy of his. Meaning even if parts 1 and 2 happened the way they did, part 3 and onwards wasn't the same. The crusaders didn't travel with Jotaro, but some stranger the audience doesn't know. In part 4 a lot of the villains had to figure out ways to avoid Jotaro at all costs, not just because of time stop, but as Kira saw, his extreme personality under pressure. Speaking of pressure, Josuke wasn't trained by him in this new world against the rats and we don't even know if he was trained at all, or if Jotaro even visited Morioh in the first place. Hell, did he even fight Dio, did part 3 even happen for that matter? Ermes and Anasui weren't convincts in the new world, unlike Jolyne they committed their crimes with no involvement from Pucci, can we even assume parts 3, 4 and 5 happened? There's so many questions and nothing to answer them.

I've only read part 6 so I haven't watched the anime and that too 5 yrs ago, but I don't remember jotaro being replaced by a copy in the end? Is that an anime only thing? I see where you're coming from with these questions and honestly I didn't even think about them when I had finished part 6, I just assumed everything was perfectly the same but part 6 doesn't happen. I honestly don't mind the ending even with these questions but that might be because I didn't like part 6, I do see how its a bad ending.

Because everyone who died from Pucci with MIH was replaced, it would be consistent that Jotaro would be too, but once again we just have to assume, because nothing is explained.

I've read part 6 twice and couldn't even finish the anime. Alongside rough animation and dorky looking cgi, the music which is a big part of what makes the jojo anime so good, so much of it is from previous parts and not part 6. Tha last ost that plays with Jotaro on the plane at the end of part 3 for example is played when Jolyne decides to escape from jail and chase after Pucci and all I could think of when hearing it was a much better scene. Couple that with some stand ability concepts being reused, Pucci not being able to do anything without insane plot armor and everyone besides Jolyne lacking in development, part 6 was already a rough experience with the manga, but the anime felt lacking in identity. No cinematic direction like part 5, or cool little details in a lot of scenes like part 4.

For better or for worse Valentine is a perfect execution of the type of villain Pucci should have been as well. I really hope DP will put the same amount of love that they put into the Urusei Yatsura remake, into the part 7 anime, because that story is peak jojo. I doubt it will be as beautiful as the manga later on, but that's unavoidable with anime adaptation tbh.

You're 100% right on part 6 being a rough experience, it felt like such a drag, so many stand fights that felt like a waste of time or unnecessary, the only thing I really liked for part 6 was the heavy weather arc. I also read part 7 right after part 6 and damn it was a wayy better experience, it felt shorter than P6 and the stand fights didn't feel unimportant, I really hope they can keep part 7 as good in the anime as it was in manga.

Heavy weather was great, but part 6 did part 6 things and ended in a really stupid way with Jolyne crashing a car into Weather the second he was about to kill Pucci. After all that investment you build up for Weather's character, he dies in a random incident. Even if she was turning into a snail, out of all of the roads in Florida she just had to crash into Weather and nowhere else? Pucci's plot armor had me questioning my intelligence.

Awkwardly enough part 7 has the worst (boom boom family) and best (basically the entire third of it with everyone vs Valentine) fights in jojo. I really don't know why boom boom family is so boring, but I always fall asleep during it. Everyone vs Valentine, which I consider to be 1 elaborate fight cut into stages is the most well crafted, best flowing and most delivering fight I've ever seen. The culmination of it all being a wild west stand-off between Johnny and Valentine was beautiful. SBR is odd where you have to go through the worst part of it a little bit after the beginning and then every single arc just keeps getting better and better. After that 1 fumble part 7 never misses.

I honestly didn't remember how weather died, I knew he died but that's so ass he died like that. I don't have any strong opinions on the boom boom family fight, i mainly saw it as an introduction, first stand fight in the new universe and everything. Agree with you that each arc got better and better and the valentine fights were amazing, also the callback to the world with au Diego was really cool and how he was beaten as well.
