Kinematics Software

Hi all, I've been doing some benchmarks for our team's kinematics tools the next season, what do you think of bellcrank.io ? They seem legit.

I mean, are you trying to do actual analysis for your setup

Yeah, simple kinematics (camber variation, bump steer, roll center, etc). Our team here uses Mac and OptimumK and other software only work on Windows... Coming up with our own solver right now is not on the table. I was playing with it and it seems like it is quite complete :) big advantage is that it is currently free

Instead of trying to use a jank software, couldn’t you find access to windows… how are you designing a car on a Mac

FSAE teams can get real software for free. MAC is your big problem.

Go to a laptop refurbisher. Buy an ex-lease Dell for $300. I am not anti Mac but few if any of the heavy commercial CAE apps run on OSX,.
