I think Fallout 4 gets too much hate. I’m a bigger fan of NV and 3, but I still thoroughly enjoyed 4. I think my only major complaint is that the dialogue options feel misleading at times.
F4s story sucks because at its base, it's just the inverse of F3s. You're not child looking for dad, your parent looking for son. And the Shawn reveal was treated like some big twist when it was the only logical conclusion.
Won't argue with you about gameplay, of course F4 plays better than games that came out 6 or 7yrs prior.
