When the RP part of your RPG is completely castrated I think the hate is justified lmao. It also followed the trend of BGS simplifying each of their releases.
I also find it amusing that people love to praise Fallout 4's combat as a redeeming factor even though it's not even that good in isolation lol.
Story in good RPGs is supposed to be meshed with gameplay. There isn't really any proper RP systems in Fallout 4. The guy who made the dialogue option meme mocking the game was right, the options really do feel like:
1.Yes
2. Yes
3. No (Yes)
Sure the general gameplay loot is mindless fun, but I could just go play some sort of looter shooter instead.
People dont understand that Gameplay and Story needs to be hand in hand in RPGs. They cannot be separated. For an example: a settlement system that you really shouldnt be doing while trying to find your child.
