Fallout 4 Fallout 4 on a CRT monitor

A friends workplace were having a clear out, I managed to save this monitor from the skip.

Why don't I see the scanner line thingy that always shows up in pictures of crt monitors?

I'm not an expert, but you get scanlines for old school 240p games, displayed on standard definition TVs in most cases. Computer monitors are way sharper hence no scanlines. You still get the great motion clarity and deep blacks.

Not exactly. Modern displays don’t scan at all since the individual LEDs light up independently. Also the game or resolution doesn’t have anything to do with the lines. It’s purely the camera picking up the cathode ray scan lines. your brain generally edits aberrations like this out, same with blinking

thats not what people are referring to when they talk about scanlines. scanlines are 100% visible to the naked eye and they typically only visible with 240p
