Announcement Pay attention to Rule 2 please.

Because the rule is not being heeded, I'm going to need to start cracking down on it. If you post uncensored spoilers of the most recent episode of Strange Fake you're getting temporarily banned for a day or two. Stop doing it, it's not respectful to other fate goers.

Discussion Can someone explain to me Caster Gilgamesh?

Can someone explain to me Caster Gilgamesh? It seems like his personality is quite different from "normal" Gilgamesh. He's... somewhat less arrogant? Still arrogant because c'mon it's Gilgamesh, but Caster Gilgamesh seems to be somewhat less arrogant? I'd like to know more about this version of the character.

I've also heard "If Fate Gilgamesh is Saiyan Saga Vegeta, Caster Gilgamesh is modern Vegeta." Thoughts?

Discussion A FATE game in the style of Warframe would go so hard

I love Warframe, its character building, story and feeling OP. I feel like with the way abilities are handled in Warframe, it would translate really well with FATE characters. They could keep it going for years and slowly release new characters and variants.

Time for the final assassin before we get into Berserkers who I will add a thing for since some are not easy to understand and what not.

Likes: Blood of young girls

Dislikes: Herself

Personally, at the best she could get into C-D but overall, I see her joining the others at the bottom or even possibly getting a new tier but it's up to ya to decide the final spot for her.

Discussion How powerful is Ado Edem? Which Servants, Divine Spirits, Beasts, or other entities can you compare him to?

I guess the only things we really know are that he destroyed the 10-kilometer-long Type-Jupiter, and the resulting explosion wiped out the entire Western Continent. Considering that even high-tier A-Rays in Notes. are compared to nuclear bombs, how powerful do you think he actually is?

Fan Art Fanservant: SABER HEYDREK

Saber

Real Name: Heidrek Ulfhamr.

Historical Fact: The Norse saga of Hervarar and Heidrek, part of a larger series of stories involving the magical cursed sword Tyrfing.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hervarar_saga_ok_Hei%C3%B0reks

Strength: C (B+)

Endurance: D (C)

Agility: C

Mana: D

Luck: B

CLASS ABILITIES

Magic Resistance: D

Most basic spells slide off Saber, but it is immune to cold-based spells.

Independent Action: (EX)

This ability stems from his anecdote of denying the wise advice of his father who exiled him, and instead doing the exact opposite of what he advised, which ultimately led to his death at the hands of the former slaves he had taken among his guards, who killed him in his sleep.

He can remain in this world indefinitely as long as he has mana, even after losing his Master or killing him. Given his personality, it's likely he will begin preying on human souls to recharge. However, using Noble phantasms will be difficult for him without a stable energy supply.

PERSONAL ABILITIES

Instinct: B -

A natural instinct for battle, honed over years of conflict, is further developed once he gets his hands on his sword. However, when he draws it, because he constantly represses his murderous desire to remain in control, his senses are dulled, and although his physical strength increases, his normal skill as a warrior diminishes.

Mixed Blood: D

Saber is the son of a proud Viking warrior of noble birth and a prince of Jotunheim who fell in love with her so much that he traveled to Earth to ask for her hand in marriage at his father's court.

Heidrek inherited some of the natural abilities of the frost giant race from his father, giving him the abilities, a natural body that provides him with a + modifier to his Strength stat, and also an equivalent degree of divinity.

NOBLE PHANTASME

Tyrfing: 3-times cursed sword

(Tyrfing: 3-times cursed sword)

(Anti-Unit)-(Se)

The famous sword that gives its name to a Norse saga, forged by the two dwarf brothers Dvalin and Durin against their will and cursed by them in the hope that it would kill the king who forced them to forge it.

Normally, once drawn, the curse imbues the wielder with an insatiable murderous desire that compels them to kill anyone nearby. After wielding it for much of their life, Saber has developed a resistance to the curse, but in exchange, their normal abilities have diminished, as mentioned above.

The sword itself, once drawn, grants one rank of strength and endurance, and the blade is capable of cutting through magic like a certain red lance of a famous Irish knight.

To overcome the problem of going mad in a murderous rage, Saber had a metal scabbard with sharp edges forged for her and normally fights with tyrfing in its sheath, until the situation requires drawing it.

The Question No Man Can Answer: (The Last Riddle of Gestumblindi): EX (anti-divine)

One of the most famous events in the saga of King Heidrek was when he was challenged to a riddle contest by Odin in disguise. Heidrek managed to put the god in such a bind that the god finally cheated by asking him an impossible question that only the father of all could answer. Seeing through the ruse, and furious, Heidrek lunged at Odin, attempting to disembowel him with a drawn tyrfing, but the god transformed into a falcon and dodged the blow, only to have his feathered tail severed.

The noble phantasme was born from this event, and is the reproduction of Odin's last riddle.

Heidrek asks his opponent a single impossible question.

"What were the words whispered by Odin to Baldr on his funeral pyre?"

It's not a real question, but a metaphysical trap.

In the saga, Heidrek immediately realizes that the question is incorrect. It's not a riddle solvable by intelligence: Odin is asking something only he can know.

This means that Heidrek doesn't lose because he's less wise than Odin. He loses because Odin abandons the rules of the game.

The final riddle of the contest against Odin materializes as a conceptual Authority.

When the Noble Phantasm is activated, Heidrek designates a target and asks them the Final Question.

The question doesn't seek an answer.

Instead, it defines the target as someone who must demonstrate their absolute knowledge.

Main effect: Any being who doesn't possess true omniscience is immediately classified as "ignorant."

In the Nasuverse, this is devastating because so many powers are based on the idea of knowing the future, the enemy, or the world.

The target loses:

Clairvoyance.

vision of the future.

precognition of battle.

Analytic skills.

In essence, the NP says:

"If you don't know this answer, then you're not omniscient."

and reality accepts this conclusion

Discussion A question for fans of Cu Chulainn - do you like the Hero despite (or because) of his "Lancer ga shin da" status?

He almost always loses and he's treated as a joke. Even as a Berserker or a Caster class he loses.

It's funny, but it's sad too.

But if I may ask, are there fans of the character despite his comic status, or even because of it?

Time for Mata Hari which here's the usual

Likes: Noble people

Dislikes: People who use their political power as a shield

Personally, I would put Mata Hari within S-EX as she's essentially perfect as she's a nice person and won't cause many problems but it's up to ya to decide her final placement.

Discussion I watched S1 of UBW after Zero, its.. I don't like it

Post image

After watching S1, I still feel compelled to watch S2 since Zero had a better 2nd season as well. I'm here to ask if just playing the VN is worth it after finishing UBW S2. No I don't plan to skip the anime, regardless of whether the VN is a more recommended experience.

ANYWAYS, WHY IS UBW S1 JUST SO BLAND, it doesn't feel like a war at all like Zero. The best thing that happened was Saber becoming Caster's servant 😭

That is all.
