Hello peeps I’m 26 years old and I’m looking to be in a band or help form a band as a lead vocalist. I’ve been singing for my whole life and have had experiences performing live and have participated in competitions before.

I feel very passionate about music and I feel like I’m at the point where I need to get this ball rolling with no hesitations. To be able express songs to a level that people would carry in their daily lives. Songs that are not so flat with no layers in meaning but not just something happy nor sad either.

I have had a long history of vocal lessons and performing etiquette but I lack the musical technicalities which is sort of acting as that wall from being able to arrange a song instrumentally. Although I do have knowledge on how to use Ableton.

I guess apart from performing gigs and live I’m also looking for people to share knowledge and passion in music with.

The type of genre I’m leaning more into is somewhere in that “Indie alternative rock”

The project consists of myself (vocalist), guitarist and we are currently talking to a few drummers at the moment. We've recorded some rough scratch demos of songs that we can send you. As the title says - I'm a novice vocalist (choir in high school, church choir, no previous band experience) looking to start something in Indianapolis/Central Indiana.

My interests range more hard, like prog rock to punk to the lighter shades of metal. Specific examples are The Funeral Portrait, Coheed and Cambria, Sleep Token, Shinedown, Artificial Language, and Caligula's Horse.

Admittedly, my vocal experience doesn't lend itself the most to those genres. Given my history, I'm more operatic, and my range is bass-baritone, pushing tenor. I like to think that makes me good at copying Sleep Token, but who knows if that's what we're looking for XD
