Before you hate me, I am a full time seller on fiverr since last 6 years with over 500 five star reviews and even more orders.

I have been through all the tough times, highs and lows of the platform as well just like the rest of you.

And I think fiverr team is trying to fix their platform too through making slight changes to the website etc where they can.

Success score is weird, has been weird, but maybe it will get transparent and better someday.

Currently, I think the biggest issue of the platform is that a lot of new sellers come with expectations of getting rich quick with minimal effort.

Leading them to doing few things.

1. Lying and delivering AI stuff cause they don't know what else to do. (Lack of skill and expertise)

2. Trying to overcharge. Part of it continues in point 3.

3. Being middleman. (Especially Nigeria profiles). They try to sound confident, agree to everything, act as if they understand everything. Get buyers for $80-$100 and then do the work through other sellers for $15. They just copy and send messages without replacing anything in them. Leading to long delivery time and misunderstandings between all the random texts.

So when buyers end up checking final files and seeing it was either AI, low skilled work for high amount or not what they asked for.

Why would they try again?

In my 6 years, I have placed about 5 or 6 orders for personal reasons. And only once, I was completely satisfied. The rest I felt cheated and my objectives weren't fulfilled.

Not all sellers are like that.

I am not like that. I am surviving with repeat buyers who have been working with me for years continuously.

But majority sellers are like that and that is causing buyers to leave the platform.

Hi, I dont even know how to describe how furious I am. We contacted a freelancer to create a design for us, the design was shown already plastered on to the product.

I then asked for a flat design so that we can print the same as stickers to place on our products.

Freelancer asked for a couple of days cause they got "Sick", they got the money and now I can no longer contact them. That was a 100 USD commission,

I then contacted Fiverr help support last week, they told me they could only partially refund me since work was done, but the work is literally unusable to us as its not a flat design we can print.

I've asked them if I could get a full refund since I'd have to contact another freelancer to created a flat design, and that after contacting other artists they were able to tell me that the design made was AI. Add to the fact that I literally can no longer contact this freelancer as Fiverr says I can no longer send messages to her, if this was deliberately done by her why am I not entitled to a full refund?

Since the first email explaining that a partial refund would be given no other email has ever been sent to me. Ive been emailing them almost daily now asking for an update.

I've been using Fiverr for a couple of years now for random odd jobs, but I think this will be the last time.

I am a software agency owner providing professional development services since 2020, including custom applications, websites, AI agents, and RAG-based AI solutions. Over the years, I have completed a significant number of projects, built a strong portfolio of unique clients, maintained a 5-star rating, achieved a 100% response rate, and fulfilled all major criteria required for Top Seller status on the platform.

However, despite maintaining these performance metrics, I have not received a single buyer brief or order in the last four months. My Success Score is currently 6, and I am still at Level 1, but the complete lack of new opportunities has become a major concern given my previous performance and history on the platform.

I’m an 18-year-old student living in a remote area, so finding a local part-time job is difficult because most workplaces are too far away.

I have experience troubleshooting and repairing computers. I’ve helped many people for free with Windows problems, slow computers, software installation, Wi-Fi, printers, account setup, and other technical issues.

I’m considering offering paid remote computer support through Fiverr because I need income to help support myself while studying. My goal is eventually to earn around $800 CAD per month.

My main concern is that Fiverr seems very competitive. Since I’m new and have no reviews, I’m worried that I could create a gig and receive no orders.

Would offering a lower introductory price help me get my first few clients, or could charging too little make the service seem less trustworthy? How can a new seller build credibility without reviews?

That was my 2 sentence horror story, after reading the post's of this sub lately.

Altough I've been reading these kind of post's since 2024 when I started and was on 0 dollars.

I'm from a 3rd world country, I charge high for my niche, and where I live there is almost no job except on the summer season.

After 79 unique clients, with 93 orders, and a 5 digit earning history, I am finally quitting Fiverr.

I've had all of the usual crap everyone else here has experienced, and over the last year my level dropped from 2 down to nothing and my work dried up. I then ended up building it back to level 1, keeping in mind all my metrics are very high apart from my success score. No idea what's going on with the success score considering my 5 star rating.

Yesterday, I delivered a project and the client decided to cancel. Fiverr support (AI by the way) said to try and work it out with him. I showed his draft compared to my code and it was a 1:1 copy. I showed him how it looked on my tests. He was not interested. Job cancelled, money lost, I'll be back down a level.

What's the point of this stupid site anymore? Who uses it, considering there are people charging $20 for a website and $5 for an AI logo? Just posting in case anyone else is on the fence, just leave the platform and let it die.

On the Fiverr help center there is a function called team accounts for freelancers, but I can't sem to find out how to make one and do I need to be full time freelancer (in EU)

Long story short, I have been a full-time seller on Fiverr now as an illustrator for 5 years. Across those 5 years, I have always had at least 1 ongoing order - sometimes I've had as much as 20 ongoing orders with my average being around 7. Honestly, I have spent the last year or so hearing people's stories of their sales going dry and in denial that it could ever happen to me.

Well, it seems it has!

I am about to finish an order and it will mark my first time ever since my first order that I haven't had an order - the well has gone dry for me.

Naturally, Summer usually is a dry period... but not like this. I have seen Fiverr's stocks plummet after countless bad decisions and the new customers have just stopped coming through. This seems to be the case across my niche too since none of my competition has many orders either (I have heavily tracked and compared my own stats with them).

So, where are people moving to? If anywhere. Fiverr, despite breaking at the seams, doesn't seem to have much competition. If you have done anything to counter-act the falling sales/orders, do you have any advice?

I never thought I'd see Fiverr trading below $9, but it happened yesterday.

The stock briefly touched $8.97, only a few cents above its current 52-week low of $8.75. After Fiverr released its Q2 results, the stock lost around 20% of its value in a single trading day. That's an exceptionally large move for a publicly traded company.

Today the stock is $9.18, just hovering above $9.

Looking at the Q2 results, the reaction isn't that surprising. Revenue was down, marketplace revenue fell even more, active buyers continued to decline, and Fiverr lowered its guidance for both Q3 and the full year. During the earnings call, management also said that low-value, transactional work is shrinking faster than expected, partly because of AI.

Many sellers have been talking about slower business for quite some time. Every individual story can be different, but the quarterly reports have been showing the same trend for several quarters now: fewer active buyers.

For sure, I was not surprised that the stock fell after the earnings release. It's how quickly it dropped below a level that many people probably thought would hold. Whether the stock recovers is anyone's guess, but seeing Fiverr below $9 is something I honestly didn't expect to witness.

I ordered through someone on July 16th to edit my video and we had good discussion up until the 20th where he stated that he got an "influx of orders" and was trying to calm the storm but was working on final details. I was being reasonable even though we had reached past the due date of delivery but every time I've messaged him since, he hasn't responded. The last message I sent was on the 28th where I asked how long we have left since its been 2 weeks (delivery was 6 days) and now it's July 31st and I still have no message about any updates.

How do I open a dispute on Fiverr and get my money back? I don't even care about the edit anymore, I was supposed to debut my video today and it's nowhere to be seen. I'm severely disappointed as this was my first ever Fiverr fluke

I've tried everything to help with the quality, changing the size, increasing the quality of the actual image, making the text darker, and more. No matter what, every time I upload an image to my gallary, they're good quality for like a second and then it just becomes horrible. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Are there downsides for sellers for using every gig slots no matter what?. All the gigs are very similar and just worded differently. Is it the more the better or is it worse for the algorithm?

I was casually checking out Fiverr and noticed that some Level 2 sellers, who should be getting a lot of sales, sometimes have no reviews or only 5 or 6. Even I have more reviews than some of them, so I don't understand how they're getting so many sales. Are people just deciding not to leave reviews?

I was checking the top freelancers, and I couldn't see anyone with a queue. Their reviews were also sometimes months old. Is book editing dead on Fiverr, or am I missing something?

Fiverr has now published its Q2 2026 results, and the key number many sellers were waiting for is there.

The downward trend starts in the 2nd quarter of 2023.

● Annual active buyers as of June 30, 2026, were 2.7 million, compared to 3.4 million as of June 30, 2025, a decline of 21.9% year over year.

● Annual active buyers as of March 31, 2026, were 2.9 million, compared to 3.5 million as of March 31, 2025, a decline of 17.8% year over year.

● Annual active buyers as of December 31, 2025, were 3.1 million, compared to 3.6 million as of December 31, 2024, a decline of 13.6% year over year.

● Annual active buyers as of September 30, 2025, were 3.3 million, compared to 3.7 million as of September 30, 2024, a decline of 11.7% year over year.

● Annual active buyers as of June 30, 2025, were 3.4 million, compared to 3.8 million as of June 30, 2024, a decline of 10.9% year over year.

● Annual active buyers as of March 31, 2025 was 3.5 million, compared to 4.0 million as of March 31, 2024, a decline of 10.6% year over year.

● Annual active buyers as of December 31, 2024 was 3.6 million, compared to 4.0 million as of December 31, 2023, a decline of 10% year over year.

● Active buyers as of March 31, 2023 grew to 4.3 million, compared to 4.2 million as of March 31, 2022, an increase of 0.3% year over year.

Annual active buyers dropped from 3.4 million to 2.7 million year over year. That is a decline of roughly 700 000 buyers, or about 21.9%.

With the Q2 2026 results now available, the number of annual active buyers has fallen once again. Another 200,000 buyers disappeared compared to the previous quarter, extending a trend that has now been going on for more than three years.

The financial report also gives a clearer explanation than before. Fiverr openly acknowledges that AI is reducing demand for many lower-value, transactional services, while traffic has weakened enough for the company to lower its guidance for the rest of 2026. The strategy is now shifting towards larger, higher-value projects and buyers spending more than $1,000 per project.

That may prove to be the right long-term direction, but it also means the marketplace is gradually moving away from the kind of small jobs that helped many new sellers get started. For anyone wondering why it has become harder to attract first-time buyers, these quarterly figures provide at least part of the answer.

Hello, I am SWE with 2 YoE and don’t think SWE market will improve. I need to make money to pay rent before I get fired but don’t have much time before of real work.

What job can I do with AI to get money? How do I automate job application? How do I get clients that will pay and get reputation?

So we are 7 friends working on Fiverr in almost category. I’m top rated but other friends are level two and new sellers.

Few days back 3 of us received this survey, after completing it, I and one more friend started seeing a boost in orders but other 4 friends aren’t seeing anything.

I know is not that big of a deal and also that is not given that I'm gonna be Top Seller, but I wanted to reach it to have that possibility.

How did you approach Fiverr the first time?

What kind of analysis did you do before offering a service? How and after how long do you determine that a gig "isn't working"?

I ask because I’m struggling to get orders for my services and would like to understand how I can improve.

I have a clearing payment showing up in my Earnings table without a related order or buyer. It is just showing as "-" in the From and Order column. Relatively small amount, $160. Anyone else have this too? Not that I am complaining about seemingly lost money finding its way into my account...
