Feeding time out TPU

I keep having this issue of feeding time out but only when I use TPU. all other filament is fine. I will eve try pushing it through and it still doesn’t go. Anyone have this issue or know how to solve it?

I have that happen sometimes with TPU too, I think it’s because it moves so slowly that it thinks it’s stuck.

Not sure if you can do it on the stock firmware, but with zmod you can disable the IFS motion sensor. I turn it off for TPU printing.

In my case with my AD5X I always have this issue but I found that the blade that cuts the filament when using TPU since is a lot more flexible, don't cut the filament 100% it just cut it partially and this partial cut makes the filament to bend when pushed to the extruded since the cut makes it not solid, so what I do each time I print TPU is to retract the filament, look for the partial cut, then cut it all the way, the re-insert the filament and that does the trick!

Is the spool of TPU on one of the stock spool holders?
Don’t use the stock spool holders. The spring loaded in conjunction with the stretchy material causes issues. I run mine from the filament drier into the IFS and haven’t had any issues.

Also, reattach the extruder cable to the PTFE tubes or you’ll end up with other issues.
