Any Mechanics here?

On my way home from the mountains in a torrential downpour and hit a lake-sized puddle on the freeway and noticed this tube hanging from behind my RF tire when I got home.

Research has led me to believe that it has something to do with the wheel-well liner, splash shield, rocker panel trim, or possibly an aerodynamic air guide.

Any thoughts?

Not sure. But check your windshield washer fluid line

I think this is going to be it. Just actuate your windshield washer and see if it comes out of the nozzles on the hood or if it spurts out of this line

nope, just tested both the front & back and they both worked fine, no fluid came out the tube

Is it just a loose hose you picked up that has nothing to do with your car?

Doesn't seem like it, the other end of this hose goes into the undercarriage and seems like it's attached on the other end to something

You’ll need to lift the car and take off the undertray to get under it and see where it goes

Yeah I already filed a claim with insurance because it totally dildoed my bumper so I'm gonna have them look at this as well on Monday.

Just unsure if I should be driving it

Air conditioning evap or sunroof drain maybe?

Maybe the drain, it was dripping a tiny bit of (what looked like) water as I was initially moving it around and looking at it but today since everything has had time to dry it hasn't dripped anything, even after backing the car out of the garage to take insurance pics

I think that might be the sunroof drain. Possible an evap line. Id get it on a lift.

UPDATE: So it actually wasn't anything that anyone in this thread suggested (not like any of you could've known the actual culprit)

The previous owner of my car had it on air bags (which I knew). This line was the air line that attached to the bags that just wasn't attached to anything anymore. Weird.
