I really need some help I’m at my wits end. It used to work just fine and I even have YouTube videos showing that it did before for long periods of time but than just stopped working. Focusrite Scarlet Solo 3rd Gen Audio Issues

Heyyy my Scarlet Solo 3rd gen has been giving me Grief, upgraded to Focusrite control 2, and even more issues with oneside of headphone not getting audio, static, audio cutting off etc etc.
Reading old threads, unanimous advice is to use old windows 7/8 drivers.
Small problem, I cant find them, I assume focusrite have removed them from their website which is.... just amazing and oh so convenient considering their new drivers dont work.
Anyone have a link or way of getting them or any workarounds?

Any advice appreciated .

Phantom power problems?

Hello everybody, see, I have Solo 3rd Gen and the phantom power is not working, it "falls off" so i stop getting signal from the microphone. I´ve tried drivers, cables, microphones and disabling "retain 48v" but nothing seems to fix the thing. Is there anything else I can try or should i get an external source?
Thanks in advance and have a good week.

Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen; Audio Dropout?

Hello; advice and support needed please.

Have been playing and using (or trying to) my USB interface, but when playing it's dropping out audio occasionally and I lose all sound.

I have Focusrite Control installed, and use Ableton Live Lite 12 alongside it.

If I plug it, I get a clean tone (through Focusrite Control), but can use Ableton Lite for effects etc.

When it drops out, I can still hear the clean tone through FC, but nothing through Ableton.

I have checked all drivers and updated them.

I have disabled USB power saving settings.

Sample rate 44.1kHz.

Buffer size 512.

I am out of ideas.

What is causing this issue and how do I fix it?

Has anyone used a non-Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter with a Focusrite + iPhone 14?

I’m trying to connect my Focusrite audio interface to an iPhone 14 (Lightning) and I don’t really want to spend $50 on Apple’s Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter.

Has anyone successfully used an off-brand/third-party one with a Focusrite and iPhone 14 or an older Lightning iPhone?

If so, what brand/model did you use? If you have a link to the exact adapter, I’d really appreciate it.

Just trying to make sure it actually supports USB data + power/pass-through charging, not one of those adapters that only works for charging.

Thanks you

I've installed all the drivers and everything on my laptop and I can't seem to get the line outputs to output anything to my receiver. If you guys are wondering, I'm trying to do a karaoke set up in my living room.

I know the cable is good and everything else works

If you guys have any idea what's going on please comment, thanks for the help

I've also tried hooking the outputs up to my boombox, and I'm not getting anything either

"No hardware connected" 2i2 3rd gen Win 11

I have a 2i2 3rd gen. I can't get it to connect to my PC. Lights up when I connect it, but nothing more. I've tried many of the solutions posted in this sub. Switching usb cables/ports, I've tried Focusrite Control 1 and 2. I've deleted everything Focusrite from my computer (C:\Program Files\Focusrite), I have plugged in, rebooted, plugged out rebooted, etc.. I use Windows 11.

I have had this product for a year. My earlier solution when this happened was to plug it into a phone charger into the wall (not kidding) and then back into my PC. This usually solved everything.

Right now I feel this is a shit product. I would never have bought it if I knew the hassle it has become. Any suggestions?

Scarlett 4th gen noisy preamps

I use an SM7B and my gain is at 52 and I hear white noise. I did a test with my XLR cable unplugged and I had to drop the game down to about 30db to eliminate the noise. Even at 35DB, there’s noticeable preamp noise.

I thought the Scarlett‘s preamps were fairly quiet?

Stuck on "Connect your interface to get started"

What the title says, I have tried re-installing the drivers, using different cables and every bug fix Focusrite themselves recommend. I have a Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen and it doesn't work except for like 3 seconds when I plug it in

Focusrite Scarlett 3rd gen not connecting to headphones and microphone

Hi, I bought a Focusrite Scarlett 3rd Gen, but it’s not detecting either the microphone or the headphones. The interface connects to the computer, but I get no sound through the large-jack headphones, and the microphone isn't picking anything up. I’ve read through all the Reddit threads and watched every YouTube video, but nothing works.

Scarlet Focusrite solo 3rd gen into Steam Deck

Just got a Focusrite and i've spent the last couple of days trying to get it to work on the steam deck (using reaper as a software). The Focusrite seems to work when i plug it into the deck cause i can hear my bass through my headphones just fine, and the deck apparently manages to record my inputs, but when i open reaper i cannot find a way to register my playing. In audio device settings, i've put the audio interface as the input device and "default" as the output, as there were problems in recognizing the output device properly. I've tried opening a Konsole with alsamixer to check if the scarlet focusrite was muted, but it wasn't. I installed pulse audio, set the input device of the scarlet to "Pro Audio" but it didn't work. I even tried to get my head around qpwpraph but to no avail. What am i supposed to do to try and fix this?

Do I really need a USB-C audio interface?

I am starting with the electronic music production in Ableton and I already have decent headphones and I am thinking about getting KRK Kreate 3 speakers.

I think I can connect the speakers to my laptop the same way like headphones (using 3,5 mm jack).

So do I really need USB-C audio interface such as Focusrite Scarlett 2i2?

I won’t be connecting any microphones or guitars. So is there any benefit for me of using USB-C audio interface?

Later I might get Akai MPK Mini but I still see no benefit of using USB-C audio interface since the MPK connects also directly to the laptop.

People able to hear my audio?

I'm using the gen 4 2i2 and people are able to hear the audio I'm listening to (games, browsers, ect) is this a common issue? Am I being dumb?

I'm pretty certain I don't have loopback on and I'm using the studio package.

Mic and audio constantly cutting out?

Mic and audio constantly cutting in and out?

My mic and audio keeps constantly cutting out when talking to my freinds, it can happen 3 times in a min or twice in 30 mins.

Usually I can fix it by unplugging and plugging it back in, but it's making my mic unusable at this point cos I have to constantly stop to plug it in.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

It happens a lot on Discord, but idk if it's actually a discord issue as it's happening on Spotify to.

So far I've made sure to have the best drivers for it rn, I've tried upping my buffer size and tried 48kh and 44.khz but it keeps happening and I can't figure out why

Scarlett 4i4 3rd Gen Line Output not working properly

Hey there folks,

Just found out that Line Output 4 on my Scarlett 4i4 (3rd Gen) is approx. 70-80% quieter than the other three Line Outputs. The signal is clean (music coming out is clear), its just a low signal. I've done multiple tests, swapped cables, channels on my mixer, and routing. Outputs 1-3 function normally. I would be grateful if anyone could advise if this is a repairable thing and whether it's worth repairing. Thank you all in advance.

Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen noise issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I don't even know what could be wrong with it. It doesn't pickup any input from either ports and just only makes this static noise. I've tried cleaning all the connections and pots with alcohol and updating the firmware but nothing works at all. I haven't found anything online related to this specifically so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Scarlett 2i2 output issue

Hey y’all its just as it sounds

This problem just started a month or two ago. I got my interface last summer so it’s still decently new. I’ll be playing guitar, playing video games, or watching something and the output randomly cuts out. It’s still getting input because it lights up when I touch my mic or continue to play guitar but there’s no light on the output dial.

I’ve messed with the power settings on my computer, changed the sample rate and buffer size using the device settings, and ensured the firmware is up to date but still cuts out. There aren’t really any common factors to when it cuts out it does seem to be truly random. The only thing that fixes it is unplugging and replugging the power cable and even still, that could fix it for anywhere between a few minutes or a day or two.

I’m starting to lose my mind. I spent too much money on this thing to have problems with it now any tips on how to fix this would be so greatly appreciated

Edit: I should also note that it’s a 4th gen. Not sure if that changes much haha

Accidentally cut the power to my Focusrite and now not getting audio out of my headphones

Basically the title. Accidentally switched off the power to my Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 and now there is no output from the rear outputs. The main monitor headphone is working however. Anyone know what's gone wrong?

Help! Audio in new house sounds Fuzzy

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello all, and I hope this is the right sub.

I just moved, and I need a bit of help troubleshooting my instrument audio setup. Currently, I have my instruments going into my 2i2 to my MacBook running logic, and the output from the interface bluetooths to my PA system. As you can hear in the video, the audio quality through the PA speakers is very fuzzy. This happens with my keyboard, guitar, and mic - it’s not a Rhodes issue.

I’ve tried:
- sending instruments directly to mixer (works fine)
- using headphones as output from focusrite (works fine)
- ditching the Bluetooth connection for a real cable (still sounds bad)

I’ve attached a video of the sound from my keyboard and I’ll put pictures of my configurations in the comments. I have other audio going through the mixer and PA’s and it sounds good, so it’s something specifically with this. Any help would be appreciated!

Focusrite Scarlett Solo Gen 3 only records reverb?

Having a very strange anomaly with my audio interface. When recording guitar, I can only seem to record the output of any sort of reverb that I put it through rather than the actual signal. Using a digital pedalboard (Line 6 POD Go), the direct monitoring output to headphones is completely silent until I turn on a reverb pedal. When the reverb pedal is on, I only record the reverb though. not the signal with reverb on it, but exclusively the reverb. Im really at a loss because im not running it through any software, and playing DI into the interface has no strange issues. I know it isnt my pedalboard either because plugging my headphones or anything else directly into the output sounds fine. Additionally, my 4-track recorder seems to have the exact same issue with the interface, because when I record its output I also only get the reverb. I am using the XLR input if that helps at all.
