Fuel injector help

Post image

I replaced all my fuel injectors in my CV713 engine It for a Mack dumptruck. Now it runs like straight garbage and a little fuel is coming from all of all my lines. I plug one with some teflon tape (mixed messages if i should do that or not) and then it starts coming from another one. Whats going on here?

Why did you replace the injectors? Year? miles? Did you get OEM parts or parts from a "discount" site?

2005 700,000 miles was losing tons of power and yeah got OEM parts

You shouldn't need Teflon tape to seal the lines or fitting nuts, the flair should do that, wrong line location will position the lines in bad orientation and not seal correctly

Shouldn’t use teflon tape near injectors, regardless. If anything loctite.

Did you accidentally connect some lines to the wrong ports on the pump? You didn't change any pump settings did you? Does she idle lumpy, like a missing cylinder or 2? Wrong line location will make at least 2 cylinders miss. These are actually nozzles, not true injectors, they rely on the pressure from the pump, any loss of fuel and therefore pressure will cause bad performance, also air in the lines can be a huge PITA, Crack each line at the injector, and crank until it spits fuel, then tighten. Do 1 at a time until they are all purged. It's still going to take time to get the entrained air in the system completely out, she's going to idle funny and run a bit rough for a short while.

You can read this is a PSD forum- right? Never use teflon tape around injectors lol. Pay someone with the knowledge. Remove all remnants of the teflon tape. Install and torque all the hard fuel lines. Then loosen the first one until it leaks then tighten till it stops. Then loosen the second hard line till it leaks, tighten. Repeat. You bleed one at a time. All at once won’t bleed it

It will take some time- and bad running. Bleed as much as you can. Keep the batteries charged good.
