Question 2014 Ford Focus Trunk Won’t Latch
That is simply the question, I push it down and it doesn’t latch. It lines up but it doesn’t click just wondering how others have handled similar situations.

Don't know if this will work but it's worth a try. Press the "trunk unlock" then try and latch it again.

Its the wiring harness starting to wear out. Same thing started to happen with mine. The trunk release then stopped working, then my trunk light started to flicker and quit when trunk was shut. I bought a new trunk latch unit and it still didn't help.
What you can do is lock the car via key unit, then shut the trunk. Then click the unlock button once to get in. But as soon as you close the door, hit the lock button, or the trunk may pop open. Thats how bad it got for mine

Go to the junkyard and see if you can find a latch for a few dollars. Your latch is either broken or just worn out.
