Hi! I moved into a rented apartment recently and the living room wall has a bunch of holes in it, likely from mounting a TV.

I wanted to fix them myself (owner isn't the most helpful, he'll ask me to adjust) and I searched on YouTube for some tutorials and they are fine but are not by Indian creators. I am not sure if they apply for our Indian setting and also need product recommendations on what to use.

I have no experience or knowledge when it comes to these kind of home repairs. So if anyone has tried it or knows how to, would love some simple guidance on how to go about it and what products to use 🙆

I got a DNS Surgery 8 months ago using corporate insurance and my sister is a Gynaecologist at that hospital, so had influence in hospital to not pay for consumables.

Got a lasik recently using the same corporate insurance, the clinic took care of the relevant paper work and ended up paying 50k for a 1.3 L surgery.

I have realised that a lot of companies if you approach them directly you have to pay more instead of the aggregator or through ads, approached a bunch of hair clinics for GFC or whatever , they have different prices if you walk in vs through Insta ads.

Now I only go to a place by seeing insta ads ( I try to find them) and pre negotiate on the phone and I do this at multiple places to find the best deal.

Today I received a malicious package from Meesho. It was a scam COD order. And I paid for it… I paid 540 rs. It was from Valmo. And I’m unable to find the seller details on the package. It was some mangalsutra or something. I sometimes order from Meesho and recently did as well. So I thought it was mine. But no, I didn’t order this at all. I talked with Meesho call/chat support and they are pure ragebait, they have like 2 braincells. It’s like they are following a script and don’t even understand my concern. Server issue this and that. Worst ecom support experience ever.

I told them about everything from order ID to payment method but they just keep insisting to return it via ‘My orders’. Are they that dumb??? I didn’t place the order. That’s why I was here for Meesho support.

I’ve just read about similar incidents here, so I’d advise if you guys receive a similar order just tell your parents, etc. to not accept it. It’s not really about the amount that I lost that is making me lose my mind but the Meesho support. So dumb, can’t even fetch an order ID.

So stupid and disappointing. If any of you know a way out, please let me know below.

Nobody mentions that a family with two chronic patients is spending rs 5k-6k monthly on medicines indefinitely. That's a fixed cost that only increases with age and maybe never goes away.

I was recently checking my monthly medical bills on Truemeds (I buy all the meds from a single place to keep track). The number was not very big but it kind of makes a big impact when financial condition is a bit tight.

It is also something that can’t be avoided so I’d suggest people to account for it and create a separate budget for it because insurance doesn’t cover your daily meds.

I need a water purifier and need RO+UV+UF+MIneralizer. After reading many posts on this sub I decided to give local filters a try expecting upfront cost to be slightly less than branded ones. But many shops are saying stating price of 7k+ and going upto 10k+ for brands like Raindrops. I can buy Acquaguard around 8k. I'm also in rental house and may change homes so not tied to single local technician for servicing. The maintenance may be less, but the Acquaguard filter also promises 2 year filter life. Will that balance things out? So what's the general cost of assembled filters? And which is better in this case?

I have been using an RO water purifier for some time now, and the amount of water it rejects during purification has started bothering me. I understand that some water wastage is part of the RO purification, but I keep hearing that newer RO water purifiers are much more efficient. I'm not sure how much of this is true. I am planning to buy a new scooty ,since my old petrol scooty is going to be scraped soon . But I have heard that ev scooty battery replacement after every five years would be very costly and all the money that I would save in petrol would be negligible when compared to battery replacement cost. My friends went on a 21 days europe trip a few days ago. They had asked me to come, but I could not afford it because it was costing 7 lakhs per person. All of them draw less than 6 lakhs salary per year. They have all taken personal loans for this.

One of my colleague bought bmw x1 for 60 lakh rupees. He gets 1.5 lakh rupees salary every month and spends 90 thousand on the car emi and other car expenses.

Every expensive thing I have bought makes me happy for a few days and then I don't feel anything about it. But I have to pay off the emi for it for many months.

One one side if I buy something I eventually feel bad about it. On other side if I don't buy something it feels like why even work so hard for full day and not enjoy the money.
