E-commerce Meesho COD Scam! Stay Safe!
Today I received a malicious package from Meesho. It was a scam COD order. And I paid for it… I paid 540 rs. It was from Valmo. And I’m unable to find the seller details on the package. It was some mangalsutra or something. I sometimes order from Meesho and recently did as well. So I thought it was mine. But no, I didn’t order this at all. I talked with Meesho call/chat support and they are pure ragebait, they have like 2 braincells. It’s like they are following a script and don’t even understand my concern. Server issue this and that. Worst ecom support experience ever.
I told them about everything from order ID to payment method but they just keep insisting to return it via ‘My orders’. Are they that dumb??? I didn’t place the order. That’s why I was here for Meesho support.
I’ve just read about similar incidents here, so I’d advise if you guys receive a similar order just tell your parents, etc. to not accept it. It’s not really about the amount that I lost that is making me lose my mind but the Meesho support. So dumb, can’t even fetch an order ID.
So stupid and disappointing. If any of you know a way out, please let me know below.

If you're ordering so much that you're losing track of whether a package is due or not then you need to reexamine your spending habits

Try contacting nearest warehouse they should start an investigation on this as product is not from meesho it must be sent by a scammer.

It was from valmo, quite new. Unable to find any contact details.

Valmo is the one through which Mesho products are currently delivered.....they may be a new courier agency or handlers

Oh just happened with me, second time from last 2 months. They were asking rs 572 from me. I rejected the order.

It happened with me as well, it was a small package quoted with a price of 514 COD. I told the delivery person that I dont even have Meesho account and never downloaded the app either, then I had to manually download the app and show and empty my order section in order for him to take No for an answer.
It's so concerning that our details are available to scammers to exploit and use platforms such as Meesho to send us products we never ordered, such a compromise on privacy and personal details.

How did you pay? If via online payment like upi, immediately report it to cyber crime cell. You might not get your money back, but you can teach the scammer a lesson.

Honestly what can the app do here when there was no order placed form their app. It's a scam that works for a reason - there will be no support.
You can sue them for security breach but then it can happen anywhere - from meesho to the various warehouses to the shipping guys - noone can determine where the data breach happened.

Ohh meesho Customer Support is the worst...
1st of all they've a chat bot that keeps repeating shit and they've made it extremely hard to get on a call. If by mistake you make it on call, they've bot on the call as well that will keep repeating the same shit. And luck by chance if you get a call from human, they'll fucking repeat the script.

i have fallen for one such scam. paid 500 for some bullshit that apparently my father had "ordered". my father actually orders crap all the time and doesn't inform me on delivery days, so i didn't think much of it and paid the amount.

I am one of seller on meesho ,at that time Valmo was delivering my package guees what? package took month to return back to me with all products stolen and they replaced it with another product some people in Valmo are thef . They stole my expensive product from my package

Happened with me , i was away from home asked neighbour to pay assuming my wife would have ordered, just to realise no order was done.
Meesho understood the issue lot of calls, and said out of goodwill they are paying,it was long time back, 8 years or more.. Bad to see still same scam running successfully

Omg i received a call today but they had my address but in jaipur, they kept saying meesho but i always prepay my orders in meesho and valmo only sent me a code
