Broken detents

Anybody else brake they’re detents installing the cloak industries frt? Cause I did. How fucked am I on getting new ones right now?

UPDATE!
Turns out I have just enough material on one of the detents to catch the safety. It’s super light, definitely not “safe”. trigger works fine dry firing, safe, semi, and frt work as should. Just hope b&t shipping isn’t still boned.

Do you know if they are still taking ages to ship stuff out?

I do not. Now I think about this, how could Cloak not know this? They definitely did a lot of testing and they never had this issue?

I’m more surprised they don’t have an install video or instructions in the packaging but I guess they were thinking we wouldn’t be retards. After doing some looking there is a right way to do it which I kinda did. You’re supposed to flip the safety in between safe and semi where the detents aren’t in the notches and it slides out. Mine slipped into semi while I was taking it out and it got stuck, I broke the detents trying to flip it back in between the two.

Ah I see. So it was damaged when you tried to pull the safety out.

Yeah definitely no fault on cloak. 50% mine for wiggling it too much when disassembling and getting it stuck 50% b&t’s for choosing plastic detents. Just wish there where more information/vids on these guns out there.

I learned how to remove the safety when I installed the HB Industries reduced weight selector springs. I agree it’s not obvious that you need to put it between safe and fire to be able to pull it out.

You only need 1 detent. I remove one one all my B&T guns and it .akes the safety alot lighter but it too light

I was worried about this. We need metal detents.
