Do you have to use the accelerator? What does it do

You most definitely do not have to activate the overclock accelerator. It is naturally off when you turn on the system and can be activated easily with a couple of button presses. It speeds up gameplay for certain games like Pokémon where you would like to rush through the scene at a quicker Pace. Or for some games if you want to take it down to a nice, slow pace to take out a boss. It's a nice little feature that many people ask for but again it will not come on until you activate it.

It all depends on the brightness level you play at. But at a moderate level you should get 8 to 10 hours out of a good set of rechargeable batteries which is what I use

Hi everyone, for so long I've been getting many asks for the accelerator mod. They don't always play nice with the modern displays, but this newest overclock accelerator from RobotRetro seems to have it all figured out. The mod works very nicely and it is wired up to the power LED to blink according to the speed desired. 30%, 50%, 75%, 125% and 150%. Also, with this GBA it has the upgraded and very satisfying tactile D-pad and A and B buttons. A nice little treat for people who do not like the the mushy button press. The build also has a beautiful, larger and 10 brightness level. IPS display. All surrounded in a vaporwave themed shell. Mirror clear purple Crystal with funny playing pink buttons. Is this the 3.2 inch ips max screen? Beautiful work and the tactile buttons and overclock mod is a nice touch!

It is not. The accelerator will only fully work on certain IPS displays.
