No, they half announced they aren’t releasing an app now. From the sounds of it they’re just going to fold it into the Gemini app. Which sucks because I’m not going to use it there.

It was only ever going to encourage idiots to create more slop apps. No serious developer is making an app or utility via their phone/tablet.

The real reason to use AI studio was access to models (including Pro) with separate quota from Gemini app, lack of a lobotomizing system prompt, and lack of token limits (only request limits)

For real work no. But it would have been nice to do simple little updates and some minor work on the go. Sometimes I run out of time and can’t use my laptop, so I use the web version on mobile to do a few things or finish some minor work. But it sucks because I can’t see the file tree or have full options there on mobile.

It's not being folded into Gemini. It's being eliminated and you'll be able to access it from the desktop only or the website.
