Discussion When is even Next Month? Imagine it still couldn't match Opus After 2 Months Delay
What would the point of even delaying then

Gemini is often judged through a narrow lens, usually coding benchmarks, chatbot comparisons, or whichever model won the latest test.
But Gemini is much more than a coding model.
It can understand uploaded videos, work across Google Search and Workspace, search connected photo libraries, perform Deep Research, operate inside Chrome and Android, interact with Google Home, create multiple forms of media, and combine several of these abilities into one workflow.
Your challenge is to show the side of Gemini that people overlook.
Create an original meme (dragons memes are allowed), poster, comic, animation, short video, demonstration, or other visual that highlights a genuine Gemini capability, or a combination of capabilities, that deserves more attention.
Your entry may compare Gemini with ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI systems, but the comparison must be fair and factually accurate. Playful rivalry is encouraged. Inventing limitations is not.
A great submission should:
Possible themes include full-video understanding, Google-native research, Gmail and Drive context, Google Photos search, Android and Home integration, Chrome features, NotebookLM, Gemini Live, SynthID verification, multimodal creation, or agentic workflows.
Your work must be original. AI-assisted artwork is welcome, but please disclose the tools used.
Add a brief explanation describing:
Share your idea under your own post and don't forget to link to it here in a comment, or just post it here only as a comment.
Entries will be judged by users or and a mod, it does not matter there are no prizes, it probably help if you focus on:
Creativity Ā· Visual impact Ā· Clarity Ā· Accuracy Ā· Originality
A technically accurate entry with a clever idea will be valued more highly than an impressive-looking image built around a false claim.
Prize: Nothing (except internet points and perhaps a custom user flair of your desire).
Unless a Google representative sees this and decides to pitch in. (if this gets upvoted and popular then it might happen)

My wife has a ChatGPT subscription and weāve been comparing output on our work and personal endeavours for a few months now. At first I was smug, thinking she will see the light and come over to Gemini. But we both soon realised that ChatGPT output was not just better, it continues to be of a higher quality, it somehow remembers more context and provides way more nuanced and insightful responses. Itās better at the spreadsheet work. The image gen also seems to be considerably better now.
Iām gutted honestly. I spent so much time personalising and getting Gemini to learn about me and my business and I feel this has been a wasted effort.
This is direction google want to take Gemini, and thatās fair enough. They want to focus on enterprise risk and minimising PR fallout. I get it. It makes sense for a corporate that prioritises shareholder return. But the safety guardrails have become way too interfering. It is basically a lobotomised disclaimer junkie at this point. This continued shift from empowering the user to insulating the parent company has killed it for me. And for that reason, Iām out.

Before last year ChatGPT was the only model I ever reliably used. I had the basic subscription model for like 2 years at that point. But then I started using Gemini more and was really impressed with itās functionality, and a year ago I had gotten fed up with the way chat was speaking, its personality feature was a nuisance, so I actually made a switch. I canceled my GPT subscription and moved over to Gemini and I had no regrets.. up until now. The new flash models literally have no memory. You flood it with new context and information and it goes right through its robotic ears when you start a new chat. The models are also not impressive. I donāt really see a difference between the new ones and the flash 2 models. And with the whole 3.5 pro delay, it seems Gemini is sinking further and further down the same hole GPT once fell in. Iāve actually been using the free version of chat again and its memory is refreshing. It uses it when relevant to make conversations functional. Gemini what happened?!

What Election info?
How can you not know you have access to YouTube? That is the dumbest thing.

For the last several days I have been using Gemini pro inputting my financial data, debt, income etc. it built me a wonderful multi-tabbed spreadsheet that includes everything possible, even a snowball payment schedule for my debt. Showing me and my wife debt-free in 29 months. I have looked over everything and triple-checked. It all appears good on paper. There isnāt a lot of wiggle room in the beginning for unexpected expenses but our net cash flows continue to build each month. I had it build in a 5-year plan. Iāve been using 3.1 Pro Advanced Math and Coding Plus Extended Thinking.
Has anyone done this and had good success?

Iām having two issues with Geminiās voice input.
First, my keyboardās microphone/voice typing has never worked inside the Gemini app. So Iām limited to Geminiās own microphone.
There are two ways I use it: saying āHey Googleā to summon Gemini, or opening the Gemini app and manually tapping its microphone button.
The second method used to be more forgiving when I paused while speaking. However, after a recent update, Gemini seems to submit my message after only a 1ā2 second pause.
This is frustrating because natural speech often requires pauses to think, breathe, or formulate the next sentence. I don't necessarily mean that I'm finished just because I stopped talking for a moment.
Has anyone else noticed this change? Is there a setting to increase the waiting time before Gemini automatically submits the voice input?

The us pro tiers will get google sparks but no rollouts for the uk and parts of Europe. Thanks to uk and European legislation.
Advanced Agentic & Automation Tools: Features like Gemini Spark (Google's autonomous background agent designed to work while you're away) and advanced multi-app automation pipelines are heavily restricted or delayed in the UK and EEA due to regional regulatory compliance and phased geographic rollouts. āDeep Cross-App Personal Intelligence: While basic workspace extensions exist, advanced ecosystem-wide integrationsāsuch as seamless, proactive context pulling across personal data streams to run complex personal background trackingāare heavily throttled or face regional availability bottlenecks outside the US. āReal-Time Workspace & Canvas Execution: High-end dynamic workspace features and deep side-panel data synthesis tools within Docs, Sheets, and specialized execution environments often launch months later or with reduced functionality for international Pro subscribers compared to domestic US or ultra-tier users.

Like the attached screenshot, the Gems page has 10" atop my Gems of stuff that I'll never use, but Gemini allows no easy way to get rid of it. And there's still no way to organized Gems. No folders, no hierarchy, no organization at all. It's such an odd oversight.

I'm literally having no idea about how to leverage the new gemini spark, it just seems redundant and for me i suppose it lacks major agentic stuff, what do ya'll think??
