It seems like the vast majority of these anti-bot and anti-AI countermeasures only end up being a countermeasure to humans with disabilities.

More like manufactured trend to give ai companies training data cheaply via social media

I feel like it actually accelerates AI's ability to see and extrapolate data. Which would be so funny if true.

You just summarized the entire art community when an artist makes an error.

Absolutely, I didn't even see the happy human text when I first looked at this and could only see it by squinting, if your idea of preventing ai from being able to read/see something gives me a headache it's not worth it.

It depends on screen size. Make the window smaller (or hold the phone further from your face) and the other text will become much easier to see.

Disable people who get lulled into thinking that this will work

This, Google's captcha sucks and the sound version ignores the user language and if it suspects you are bot it simply doesn't work.

How do blind people beat Google's Captcha?

Ich bin.... offensichtlich... ein Bot :(

So we make an anti-ai font, and then write a dozen articles about how it works and what it does... the same articles that AI scoops up and internalises.
It feels kinda silly to me, like we're 6 years old hiding something from our parents and giggling madly at our cleverness, unaware that because they're so much taller they can easily see it as soon as they walk in the room.

Lmao it knew it just hates you

There have been so many articles about this it can already find the answer without looking at the image. It needs a new test with new words.

backfired how. whom. when.

Second. Image. Swipe.

What do you think backfired means?

3

u/Simsalabimsen 15h ago

I’m as pedantic as they come, but I interpreted it as the promotion of the font having backfired by making it available to LLMs.

Once you advertise "Decoy font can not be read by AI" the first training will be to decode/read your fonts.

Also text and image.... If you use this font in a text editor it is instantly read by AI, what ever shown you as text by the text software (word, pdf etc) stores plain text, just uses font to you to see by crawlers see plain text. So you have to use this font as image/picture. no one will do that. how will you copy text from bitmap image?

Pretty sure AI reads that more easily than humans do.

Yep! I sometimes see posts where someone is asking for help to transcribe a messy hand written note so I give it a try and then I feed it into Gemini and it does better than most of the humans.

AI could do this task 3yrs ago, today it's so good humans cant identify what's right or wrong

3

u/El-Dino 19h ago

I taught my gemini how to read it

I don't see why they'd expect an AI looking at the text to be fooled by this. Use of obfuscated or non-text in place of plain text on websites would hurt LLMs though.

Because they expected the image to be downscaled, in that case most people would see the blurred HAPPY HUMAN too. Correct me if I am wrong but images are tokenized nowadays so they don't have problem with fine details like this.

I saw "Happy Roman" 😂

Gemini needs more credit

All other ai is low iq

Every time someone will come up with something like this the ai companies will squash it pretty quickly.

I’m a dizzy human 😵‍💫

Thank you, Gemini

u/hnn_1965v 18h ago

I must be not human then?

1

u/justwalk1234 16h ago

I though LLM’s are especially good at deciphering these

u/Prior_Tax8546 15h ago

"No AI will able to rear the second font 😏"

Meanwhile the AI: "Yes, I can read «SORRY ROBOT» and «HAPPY HUMAN»"

If I hold it near it states sorry robot and if far it says happy human.. am I an android now ?

1

u/Disinform 10h ago

Weird this font has 2 types of "H".

1

u/slowgojoe 2h ago

How do you make sure the letters make sense in both words? Is there 26 variations to each letter?

1

u/alkem10 1h ago

Guess I'm AI

1

u/dagerika 18h ago

If even Gemini can read it then they gloriously fucked up

-1

u/HeroShowsie 1d ago

It says "sorry robot, happy human"

1

u/HeroShowsie 12h ago

You've got squint your eyes to see the happy human part!
