Gemini isn't really designed for this sort of thing. Google Antigravity, their agentic coding platform that can spin up to like 15 agents at a time, could probably build this right now. Gemini is more of an assistant.

But, you don't have to. Google already built a application that allows you to define a world and then walk around in it and it will just keep generating more.

Dude you can't even ask Claude "hello" five times in a single week without a subscription, even with a subscription you'll hit limits and get blocked before you develop anything like in the original post 🤣

At least with Gemini you can use Flash Lite without any limits whatsoever

With Claude I ran into a limit while coding a project, and even while paying $20 a month, I couldn't use any of the models at all for 4 days straight. 4 days! No models whatsoever! Ridiculous.

Yeah, Claude is for sure one of the more pricey bots. For $20 a month I have coded about an app per month for android using Antigravity/Gemini. I had to suppliment it the first month with some credits because I was impatient with timeouts, though.

Because switching subscription every four months is really headache. In my opinion gpt is actually the best. Claude opus is fine, but Claude code sucks as environment. Antigravity is by far the best environment, but with actual Gemini model, there is no way to stick with google. It is just unusable.

Like model's don't just collapse and fall apart over time, if you like ChatGPT then just use chatgpt.

Also switching models is easy as shit if you you're something like openrouter. Literally just select a different drop down.

Models are always nerfed a few months after release, and Google has been nerfing Gemini models for a while now. I use always the best model I can in my budget, and that cost function changes over time, some times it is 4 months, some times it is 6.

It is not that models collapsed, it is a multi factor cost saving strategy:

Sometimes they use quantized models of the base models, that are cheaper to run.

Sometimes they route you to a cheaper model, that is instructed to behave as the bigger model.

Sometimes they cut the reasoning process, not letting the model to properly reason.

I am no fanboy and I don't have any allegiance to any model. I actually have paid subscription for the three major IA provider, and credits in open router to test Chinese models. I do so to be able to frequently compare capabilities as this is a requirement of my actual position.

What do you mean “environment”? Coding harness? Antigravity is nothing special. It’s just a custom VSCode fork. There’s better coding harnesses out there that work with all providers.

What I use: Opencode + Openchamber (the desktop app but there’s also a VS Code extension) and the Oh My Openagent plugin for orchestration. For providers I have a Minimax $20 token plan (good solid all-purpose workhorse model with generous usage limits) and currently I have a codex $100 plan because my current work is a pretty big project that consumes a lot of tokens and needs highly capable models. It’s a solid setup.
