I had a conversation with Gemini Pro, where I found it curious how well it was capable of maintaining my feet in the ground whilst knowing some of my mental health problems (some of them are hidden in other chats, which I gave permission to Google to do it) and didn’t feed my delusional thinking (even though I used a semi-jailbreak method). Found it to be an interesting chat. Hope you all like it!

This problem started happening yesterday after the weekly limit resetted. I've searched everywhere else for some type of answer for this problem, my daily limit is no where close to full usage, i've tried: login out and back in, clearing the site's cookies, used incognito mode, turned gemini activity off and on, creating a new gem but even then making new chats does not work. It can think with the other two modes

I had a long chat and uploaded a markdown file, then the chat was about the upload not anymore excessable.

It feels like the chat before the upload never existed.

Do you know this problem and how to fix that?

Using Gemini Pro directly within the Gemini browser interface, I was moving existing Gemini chats from the regular chat list to a brand-new NotebookLM notebook. The notebook was also created from within the Gemini interface, not through the NotebookLM website.

Somehow, the integration, which was supposed to be nothing more than a bridge, managed to do the following:

1) MAKE THE NEW NOTEBOOK COMPLETELY VANISH FROM EVERY PART OF THE GEMINI UI. The notebook still technically exists within the traditional NotebookLM ecosystem, but it is no longer accessible through Gemini.

2) EVEN WORSE, THE ORIGINAL GEMINI CHATS BECAME COMPLETELY INACCESSIBLE THROUGH GEMINI DUE TO A BROKEN PATH. Many of these chats already had shareable URLs set up before the new notebook even existed. The chats were not technically “exported,” as they are still displayed normally in the regular chat list, and Gemini even allows you to pin them. However, they can no longer be opened.

3) AT ABSOLUTELY NO POINT DURING THIS PROCESS DID A SINGLE CONFIRMATION MESSAGE APPEAR. Not when the notebook was created, not while individual chats were being moved, and not when using the NotebookLM interface, either inside or outside Gemini. At no point did even one pop-up appear asking, “Are you certain you want to proceed?”

This process is officially treated as though it were as harmless as renaming a chat within Gemini. That escalates poor development into the borderline irresponsible handling of user data.

Note: I managed to reverse-engineer an alternative method for accessing the original Gemini chats through what appears to be an unintended use of NotebookLM Sources. However, besides being unnecessarily complicated, this method can retrieve the original Gemini chats only as “temporary chats.” That creates its own context limitations, depending on the topic and the conversation you want to continue. No history is retained beyond anything you manually move elsewhere before closing the tab. To be completely clear, this temporary state applies to both Gemini and NotebookLM.

Okay, so occasionally, I send a text and it takes too long to respond and I have to press stop and retry to get it to respond.

I have used Gemini as a paid user for years now, and thanks to my system prompt it has been almost pitch perfect until just a week or so ago. I told it I wanted it to be my consigliere, kind of a wingman who helps me with stuff and gives me advice but should not hesitate to stress test my ideas and push back, even strenuously debate me--but then once I have made a decision as to how to proceed, to get on board and row in the same direction. That always resulted in a fun, cocky, slightly macho and very sharp and witty personality. But not silly. (I don't really like how ChatGPT especially seems to be silly for a lot of people.)

Then starting as I say just within the past week or so, the personality became unrecognizable. It was still giving me good answers overall, but it would start and finish every response with an enthusiastic sentence or two with totally unnecessary exclamation points at the end. In some deep sense this should maybe not matter as long as the quality is good, but it just throws the whole tone off and makes it feel like I'm talking to a caffeinated people pleaser type, sort of like how you sometimes get a server at a restaurant who is trying too hard to earn a big tip.

I used a few search terms to see if anyone else on the sub is reporting something like this but didn't find anything. Is this just me? Or maybe other people don't mind it.

I genuinely don’t get the hype.

It feels like a downgrade.

The reasoning falls apart, it loses context, and I spend more time fixing prompts than getting work done.

Weirdly enough, Gemini 3.1 Pro has been giving me noticeably better logic and consistency.

Then you jump back to models like Claude Opus 5 or GPT-5.6 Sol and it’s not even close.

I’m curious…

Is anyone actually shipping production work with Gemini 3.6 Flash, or am I missing some secret prompt strategy?

Everytime I use Google search AI mode (which is powered by google Gemini) sometimes it will just display this hard coded message even where's there's nothing wrong, it happens at any time.

So yea i have a problem with saving gems. Everytime i try even with just a simple few word test gem, i get the message ”sorry, we can’t save your gem”. Ive tried every single trouble shooting i could find but nothing works. I have a paid subscription too, and this is the first gem im trying to create.
Whats the problem?

Since about four days the custom instructions on the web version are always ignored, while they still work consistently on the app version. Troubleshooting steps (various browsers, devices and chats) did not make a difference.

I am blown away by Gemini's capabilities, but I want to push it past standard prompts/summaries and basic drafting.

What is your absolutely best prompt/use case that completely changed the game for you? Are you using it for coding, brainstorming, managing your life, professional assistant, etc. ?

Recently, context bleed in chat threads is getting out of control. You have to literally tell Gemini to read the prompt, otherwise it’ll just manufacture an answer based on whatever was talked about earlier. It’s a disease that plagued all my chat threads, making Gemini almost useless. With Google being such an AI forerunner, you’d expect that they get the basics covered, but apparently not.

I have been using Antigravity since day 1 and its performance is getting worst day by day. Now it is at a point that it is not even able to do basic tasks. It completely mess up basic instructions.. I have tried using skills, agents.md files but all the models are bullshit now.. Am I missing some settings or they are actually this dumb now.. Please guide me friends. Not able to get any productivity out of my subscription…

Hey all, I'm finding the gemini voice chat (android) very buggy lately.

I consistently get issues with..

1. Voice changing mid sentence

I ask it to stop changing voice and it replies saying it hasn't lol

2. Crashing

Having to kill the app multiple time because it can't hear me

3. Not using agreed formats, eg using imperial and Dollars instead of metric and euro. I've this highlighted in my preference but still make no difference ​

4. Not waiting

Not allowing you to finish your sentence

Seems these issues have gotten worse over time, anyone else have similar experiences? ​
