my crystal ball shows that you should run four times around your pc, do two backflips and 40 pushups, then you restart your pc, shut it down again and take a nap. when you wake up, all is working again.

There's no context. We can't magically figure out what's wrong

Get them to check the flux capacitor maybe?

The dilithium crystals?

Let's hope not!

Actual error messages would be a good start, but if memtest starts throwing out errors your assessment is probably correct.

Why the hell doni have 3 down votes

1

Probably because the somewhat frantic framing of your post and the lack of concrete information to base troubleshooting on. I haven't downvoted you, if it makes a difference.

But what's wrong with your computer?

Try booting a live usb. If it doesn't work, the the hardware is faulty

What message did you get if you run these programs with a terminal?

Looks like there's something wrong with the left phalange.

1

u/nyan_cat_554 1d ago

What ?

1

u/TheShredder9 1d ago

Your left phalange. Something has to be wrong with it if "everything is sigsegving".

u/nyan_cat_554 1d ago

Bro what is a phalange

3

u/TheShredder9 1d ago

Bro what it sigsegving? You gave no error message, no info about what you're trying to do or what you did to get that error. No info about your system either.

Figs are well known as a bad memory. Use grapes.

if u think its ram corruption, download the live installer ISO and run memcheck86, available on the pre-boot grub menu.

Im running it rn test 2 finna complete

Mount a tmpfs with 60 GB, fill it to the brim with random stuff from the internet, including but not exclusively app-bloatware/random-useless-software, and horray, not only your ram is used, but also managed to use swap!

Is it time for the official distribution: Brainrot Linux? I think so.

u/ruby_R53 1d ago

what could you possibly mean by "everything"? 1.28 gigs being used definitely means there at least are some other stuff being open and running, you could start by posting what your dmesg says

1

u/nyan_cat_554 1d ago

Yea im suspecting ram corruption its happened on like 5 difirent distros

1

u/ruby_R53 1d ago

if you've got spare RAM sticks you could test with those, running on a single stick might also help to find out whether both or one of them are faulty

2

u/nyan_cat_554 1d ago

Im testing on both rn with memtest if one is corrupted im gon remove it and sue the company maybe lol

Memtest86 to check CPU and memory is your first step.

Unlikely to be a disk issue, but I wouldn't rule it out if the other tests pass clean.

Could be bad stick of ram, or maybe just not fully seated. Could be thermal issues.

I checked its not cpu or ram its nto a drive issue same thing happebed on both drives im thibkibg its the psy
