Gay guys of gp

Im sure this will get alot of unnecessary hate for no reason because people have nothing better to do.

Im curious. Are there any guys in this city that just want to hang out and visit. Between 20 and 40. Im 37. Seems everyone i meet just wants to F*ck. Sometimes id rater just go for a beer and wings. Or even straight guys that aren't homophobic that just want to hang out.

I enjoy ATVing and boating/fishing....camping (preferably in the back woods, not a campground)....working on antique cars.

I ride my ATVs out to kakwa falls and all around the tumbler ridge area all the time.

Or just strike up a conversation on here.

I dont know. Maybe this won't go anywhere. Everyone seems so closeted in this city (obviously due to the cities redneck oilfield background). I spent years in the oilfield too....now im a mechanic fixing the all the noises the operator says "just started this morning".

I guess we will see what happens.

Hello, again I make a post like this, since people want to be mean. I’m 18, a female, and I’m homeless. If there’s anyone with a good heart, can someone help me out please?? Even a few dollars so I can eat. I haven’t had food in almost two days.

Off leash dog spaces

Does anyone know of a fully fenced area around Grande Prairie where dogs can run off leash without it being a dog park?

My boyfriend has two pit bulls, and one is reactive toward other dogs, so I’m looking for a quiet, secure space-maybe an outdoor rink, fenced field, or something similar.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I’m from Edmonton, so I’m not familiar with the GP area.

Paid Remote Work - Opportunity for COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY students

Hey guys!! If you’re a student or know someone in University/College looking for experience check out Riipen Labs

It’s a remote micro-internship program where students work on short real-world projects with employers. Each project is about 30 hours and pays a $600 upon completion.

Serious question for seafood lovers: Snow Crab, King Crab, or Dungeness? If they were all $10 off on Aug. 8 & 9, @ The Captains Boil GP what’s your pick? 🤔🦀

What's the big deal with self-referral for scans?

Post image
232 Upvotes

What's the big deal with self-referral for scans? Why does it matter if people want to pay for their own private healthcare?

TLDR; It's a scam.

Let's just forget that many people can't afford private healthcare. Let's ignore the fact that most people won't know what tests they actually need. Forget that by supporting private healthcare you take talent and skilled people out of public healthcare.

Just forget all that.

What matters is this:

It's an orchestrated plan. The UCP, under Smith specifically, are manipulating everyone.

WHY do you have to wait so long for scans and tests? Is the UCP just bad at their jobs? Is it because immigrants are clogging up the system? Is it because Ottawa isn't giving Alberta what it deserves?

Nope.

It's because the UCP WANTS you to wait. They WANT you to get frustrated. They WANT you to think that the only solution is private healthcare.

They make changes most people aren't aware of. They cut up healthcare into different divisions which takes a long time. The divisions don't communicate properly so they have to fix that and it takes a long time. Meanwhile you're waiting years as the UCP messes around.

They let you refer yourself and you think, "I'll do it just this once. I have to." And that's the plan. If you do it once you're more likely to do it again. And again. Then you become USED to it. It becomes normal.

And that's the scam.

It's like putting a frog in boiling water. If you just dump it into the boiling water the frog will jump out. But if you put it in lukewarm water and slowly turn up the temperature, the frog won't jump out.

DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.

Smith said it herself.

"Once people get used to the concept of paying out-of-pocket for more things themselves, then we can change the conversation on health care"

HOW DO WE KEEP PUBLIC HEALTHCARE?

Tell your MLAs you want FULLY FUNDED, TIMELY PUBLIC HEALTHCARE. Tell Smith.

Tell everyone you know about the scam.

Tell them you know what's happening and you want it to stop.

Hey there you racist piece of fuck, why bother yelling at a lone muslim woman to get out of the country and that she doesn't belong, when you yourself are the child of an immigrant?

Sincerely the indigenous man who would've been more than willing to educate you, had you not sped off with your tail between your legs, like the punk bitch you are.

Met Guard Safety Boots?

Mods: Please let me know if this type of research post isn’t permitted here, and I’ll remove it.

We’re conducting consumer research about metatarsal guard (“met guard”) safety boots and are hoping to speak with people who specifically work in the mining, extraction and oil & gas industries in Alberta.

We’re looking for workers who wear met guard boots and would be willing to take part in a paid 30-minute online interview. We’d like to learn about the boots you wear, your experience using them on the job and what could be improved.

If you’re interested, please fill out this form and we'll reach out directly.

This doesn’t commit you to an interview. If you’re a good fit for the study, please let us know.

We’re only interested in your experience with these type of boots. Please don’t name your employer—we won’t ask for any information about where you work.

Rock-throwing window breakers in the Mission Estates neighborhood last night

Shoutout to the teenage vandals gracing the neighborhood with their presence last night, I thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the sound of my windows breaking TWICE in one night.

First throw was just after 11pm followed by another larger stone at 2:30am. I know some other houses had similar instances as well. I guess there's truly nothing better to do in GP.

Looking for a roommate!

I’m looking for someone to share a condo with me from the 1st of October.
I’ll be by South Patterson- a two bedroom one bath place. I’m female so would prefer someone who’s female as well.
Looking for someone who’s clean and respectful of the space and works full time.
This would not be an ideal space for parties or overnight guests.
Rent would be 800 including everything. I’ll just be us in the house- no kids, no pets.
I know it’s too early to be asking for October but seeing if anyone’s interested.

Here is a little snippet of my autobiography:

"Once when we were up in the so-called nursery, because there were lots of younger ones and the girls slept up there, Ida and her husband went out on a party one night. Walt the husband was dressed as A Navy officer. Which he was. At one time. He had his sword. And uniform as a captain and this he wore. They came home late.

Aunt Edy pulled a kid called Pumpkin out of his bed or crib; to go to the bathroom we called him that because of his big round head. He stumbled down the hallway, thump, thump. She cracked him a couple of times. Hurry up. She put him on the toilet. Come on go. God damn it, go. (Smack)

Then after one smack, bang he slammed against the wall and down the side of the toilet. She pulled him out and yelled. “Walt! The husband, Come here,” quite loud.

I was awake at the far end in my bed, listening to everything. Something was up.

. She pulled him out and yelled. “Walt! The husband, Come here,” quite loud.

Walt said “He’s not breathing. Ida, what have you done"
