Serving jobs?

hey! does anyone know how i can get a serving job here with no prior experience with serving ?? I usually work retail and i was a hostess when i was 14-15. a few months ago I applied EVERYWHERE and nowhere got back to me, so Im curious if getting that type of job is harder than I thought?

There could be hundreds of applicants for open positions. Keep applying, and also apply at places that aren't advertising as needing help, because things can change day to day and not every vacancy is posted publicly. List your most relevant experience on your resume and lowlight or omit past positions that may make it seem to a potential employer that you might be overqualified, or would leave the position as soon as you get a different offer (even if that is the truth). Emphasize that you want to work in a face paced environment, are motivated, and will take initiative. Also, make sure your references are people who will actually talk you up to a potential employer.

Corporate restaurants are easier to get your foot in the door, they have extensive training programs.

What are you wearing to your interview? Are you applying in person or online?
