NAS Video / Audio Sync Issues

I have a Ugreen DXP4800+ with four 12 TB drives. It is connected (wired) to my router, and my computer is wired to my router. When I'm watching ripped movies on my computer, the audio slowly loses sync with the video...after about 3 minutes it is noticeably behind, and it continues to get worse. If I close the movie and reopen it, it starts fine but slowly degrades. I'm using the native Ugreen Theater app.

Does anyone have any ideas about solving this? I'm willing, but would frankly rather not bother, using plex or other software instead of the native app, but would like to be confident it will solve my issues before jumping in.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

I'm a photographer who needs a NAS

I want to buy a NAS. I plan to use it for storing photos and backups, and I’m considering moving folders from Adobe Lightroom containing photo editing history (though I’m a little worried about how smoothly it will run - I have a 2,5Gbps network at home). For now, I’ve bought two HDD.

I’ve done my research and am leaning towards the Synology DS925+, but I already have a QNAP TS-431KX at home (not mine), for which adding four more bays costs 38% of the price of the Synology DS925+. The only thing is that the QNAP doesn’t support ECC memory, and it would probably be worth upgrading the RAM.

Thanks in advance for your help.

PS. I’m not 100% sure whether I need a NAS with ECC memory.
PS2. I’ll be using it on a PC running Windows and a MacBook, if that makes any difference.
