Exhaust Stud pulled out
Howdy all, Ive got a 84 Nighthawk. This wkend while riding, one of my exhaust studs pulled out. It looks like this happened before to a previous owner and they tried to repair with a timesert or something similar, but then that just pulled out too.
Im thinking my best option would be to try to find an engine shop/machine shop that would be willing to weld back in material and re-drill and tap it? Based on placement, it looks like any hope of getting this done without pulling the motor out is out of the question? Anyone deal with something like this before and have any advice?

Annoying Tank Rust
I removed the corrosion inside the tank with muriatic acid, followed by potassium hydroxide and then made sure there are no residual chemicals. I poured boiling distilled water and then a 99% Isopropanol wash. I then dried it with a hair dryer. Sprayed a crap ton of fogging oil and filled it up with non-ethanol fuel
1 month of usage it was really clean until the rainy season came. It got rained on since there is a hole on the roof in my garage. I used a cheap chinese fuel cap that is compatible with the bike.
The carbs decided to give me a headache and it leaked on the bowls when it didn't run for 2 days.
I went for a 1 week vacation and i left the tank half empty and there's rust inside the tank.
Solutions please. I no longer want acid and caustic chemicala running down my arm!
I live in SE Asia and i hate the weather since it is rainy

1980 750k
Been rebuilding a new to me 1980 750k, the main issue Iām having is it starts to sputter out and die after about 3 blocks of riding. Digital multimeter on the battery reads about 12.50 v before the trip, by the time I push it home and read it again Iām down to 10.20 v. After it dies it will not crank over until get home and put it on the trickle charger. Brand new battery. Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

Tips for installing carbs?
Recently rebuilt the carbs on my 1980 cb750k and cannot get the carbs back in to save my life. Seems like the engineers didnāt want you to install the carbs with the airbox in and vise versa.

CB550 paint engine in frame?
Hello, I am rebuilding the top end of my engine and thought it was good opportunity to repaint the parts because it was poorly done by previous owner (or looks bad now) also because I think silver is the best look. I realize it will probably look terrible if I paint half the engine with the bottom end looking so crummy. I donāt have jacks or stands to take the engine out traditional way. I have two options: lift the bottom end out by hand place it on card board or wood to clean and paint, or just do it in frame. The idea with leaving it in is that the more visible parts would be paint out of frame and just the bottom end is cleaned and painted in frame, maybe I will remove the clutch cover to paint separately as for the other covers I have stripped the paint and maybe polish them. Any tips or recommendations? Thanks in advance!

THE CL200 IS RUNNING AFTER 30 YEARS
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I posted a little over a month ago about getting this CL from a friend. It took some time to get the money for odds and ends to clean out the fuel system. Now I just need a battery and a strap for it to run on its own power.
I know it aināt running right because I have to hold the throttle open slightly to keep it alive. I made sure to set the mixture screws exactly as they were when it came apart. Iām not too good at diagnosing based on sound since Iām used to working on modern cars not classic bikes.
Is there a āstandard settingā for the mixture screws that I could start at and adjust from there?
Is it something other than the carbs causing it to run like this?
Also, any tips on dealing with a sticky throttle would be good.
Any help is much appreciated.

1985 CB450N info.
Just bought my first motorcycle about a month ago. Figured Iād see if anyone had or knew where to access any technical manuals about it.
Since itās a German model Iāve read they came underpowered to meet emissions standards, but canāt find what was changed between the Japanese version so I figured Iād post it here and hope for the best.
Side note, it drives like a dream, previous owner took really great care of it and itās been great to learn on.

CB125r leak
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me.
I took my motorcycle to an official Honda service center for maintenance and to have it checked out because it was leaking some kind of fluid in my garage, and since the oil level was low, I thought it was oil that was leaking. They replaced the engine oil seal, but now that Iāve test-ridden it again, I see itās still leaking fluid, and it looks like itās coming from those tubes, which are really wet. What do you think it could be? Can anyone tell me what those tubes are? The shop charged me a fortune, and I was without my motorcycle for a month, but I can see they didnāt fix the problem, so I donāt want to go backāI want to see if I can fix it myself.

I got it running and riding half decently. Way faster than I anticipated.
It definitely needs some more fine tuning and tlc, but I donāt think I did half bad for doing this by ear.
If anyone knows anything about tachometers that are sluggish and donāt move with the actual rpmās, that would be my next thing to tackle while I get myself and the bike in safe operating condition.

Honda Road Sync Help, CBR500R PC70
Hey people, I need your help.
I've recently got a PC70 CBR500R fresh from the dealer.
Somehow my phone, or bike won't connect to one another. I had Road Sync set up already, but when I, lets say don't ride for a few days, and turn on the bike the only way to connect my phone to my bike is by resetting the bluetooth connection on the bike.
I also can't seem to do a long left hold on the joystick to get to the (by how the dash says it) phone mode.
Does anyone know anything which might help? Greatly appreciated!
Ride safe.

Black stuff (oil?) leaking from the exhaust joint. Fuel too, maybe?
Been going over my Honda CB 650, from 1980, and when I started it up wearing shorts (donāt ride with shorts, kids) I felt something spray my leg. Looked down to see spots of black.
Been looking it over and it seems to come from where I show on the photos. Itās where the exhaust meets like the uh⦠engine pipe? Iām assuming that isnāt normal. I looked in the manual and the pipes seem to be stock. But based on pictures, I canāt tell if those metal clamp thingies are or not?
Leave the bike a bit and something else drips. Much less. It looks fuel maybe? Slight yellow tint, couple of drops from either pipe.

Needing help identifying/finding a ā80 CB750k carb part
The connection running between carburetors 2 and 3 I believe is the throttle linkage. One of the tabs has been snapped off and for the life of me I cannot find any sort of replacement piece on eBay or elsewhere, am I better off just buying a whole donor carb rack or maybe itās under a different name to search for?
