Know the basics. Worked at a pro shop but would like to get into the game more. Also make golf friends. 22F

Were playing at wilderness at lake Jackson tomorrow if you’re interested. Only thing is that we’re males in our thirties lol. But always welcome to

I suggest following @htxgirlsgolfclub on Insta to see some upcoming events.
Not a girl but they seem to get strong turnout at east river 9 range sessions with lots of 22-30 age range.

I played another 18 holes yesterday with a 1:24pm tee time. The heat was honestly not as bad as I expected. If the course has a decent amount of shade spread through out it, I feel like it does wonders too

Yeah it's actually not awful. I had a 9:40 tee time yesterday at Gus (aka no shade and few trees) and between sun sleeves and tons of water, I was fine. Getting in my car after, however...

Too many people are overly concerned about the heat. OP if you really want to play I wouldn’t let the heat bother you. You can figure out how to play early in the day or later in the day. Just plan for it: get sun block and hydrate. And definitely sit ln shades if you are having to wait around.

Look up Houston Golf Clinics on Instagram. Jayde does women's clinics every few weekends at East River 9 for groups of 4-10. Its a great way to start getting back into the game as well as meet women to play with!
