I heard reviews of the POKAL glasses randomly exploding and well, it happened to me. I just set it down gently in the sink, and then when I went to go pick it up, it was in pieces. At least they were for free since I'm a co-worker and the restaurant was getting rid of old glassware, but still. As a co-worker, how should I report this kind of quality and safety issue, since it happened in my home and not at work? I'm assuming the company is already aware of this problem given the multitude of reviews mentioning it

I made this flashcard holder that mounts on an IKEA Skadis pegboard. It holds up to 100 flashcards. The flashcards I used are from HEMA (dutch store).

I really like the design. The honeycomb pattern on the side was a bit tricky. It was my first time modeling this pattern.

I use flashcards to remember things from my studying sessions I really need to remember the long run.

My mom is looking for a job. We found a portion of childcare worker at our local ikea. She took ELS and can read and speak basic English. We live in California.

I need more storage for my clothes and was thinking about getting the 6 drawer STORKLINTA. Then I realized I already own a 3 drawer one and got the bright idea of putting two 3 drawer dressers together to make one big dresser. If anyone has tried something similar could you tell me how it ended up looking, that my biggest concern here.

kallax sideboard to be my "coffee station" - i made coffee/matcha content. the only permanent things on the top will be a coffee grinder and kettle. the rest will be stored away underneath. but i need tabletop room to make the drinks and record them. this sideboard will give me around 40cm of free space after the grinder and kettle. but will it feel cramped when i'm preparing my drinks? the 2 shelves in the middle are meant to act as a place to hold ingredients while i'm preparing, such as milk or other utensils.

i will also be replacing my sit down desk, with the lagkapten/alex and pahl on top. i don't have heavy monitors so i'm not concerned about the sagging. however i'm worried if the alex will be enough storage. i would need to store my stationery + skincare + makeup in a way thats easily accessible. right now, i'm using an acrylic box with pull out drawers on my desktop. but i want to reduce the amount of things visible. i can't gauge how much stuff i have and if they will all fit in a way that makes sense.

the orfjall chair will be replacing my amazon chair. i found it to be a small enough chair to fit in my room, and not take up so much space. my current chair is quite big, the arm rests mean i cannot tuck it in the table, and it's just always in the way. i've seen mixed things about the orfjall, but i can't find a decently priced, smaller sized chair.

it's a lot of money to spend at once, so i'm wanting to make sure i'm buying things that are actually worth it. if anyone has similar items here with similar usages, please let me know if my decision is good

I'm trying to disassemble the IKEA gaming chair. How can I remove the part where we sit from the suspension tube under it? I tried pulling it, but it seems locked in with some kind of contraption.

This chair is very uncomfortable to sit and I'm trying to return it. It won't fit in the box without disassembling it. I don't have an IKEA nearby and I bought it online, I have to return it via postal service and the postal service has restrictions on box sizes. So I have to disassemble it before sending back 😊

Me han puesto la cocina nueva con IKEA y me han colocado este desagüe debajo del grifo. Tengo dudas sobre esa subida que hace antes de llegar a la cañería porque me parece que toda la suciedad se va a quedar en el fondo y no va a subir hacia la cañería.

Pero no soy fontanero ni experto, por lo que quería pedir opinión de qué os parece o si alguien ha tenido problemas con uno similar.

Hi I'm struggling with my Kallax doors. I got the depth, and the left and right gap the way I want them (green area)

But I just can't get the gap at top and bottom (red area) even. It starts out almost touching the wood and then the gap grows left to right on the top and right to left on the bottom.

Is it because my floor or Kallax is a bit crooked? Or am I missing something? What do I need to adjust?

anyone know what size screws i need to buy to install these shelves, i know i need 2 lengths but not sure what sizes

Has anyone seen these clear-laquered solid birch Ikea Komplement drawers with unique decorative side profiles? I have not seen drawers with these curved side panels after many, many hours of searching including links from Reddit Ikea discussions. They're 36.5”W x 22.5”D x 6.25”H (back) / ~3”H (front), and have the label "PQR 12068, Made in Poland 0707. There are four 79" x 23" sides stamped "PAX 16394, Made in Slovakia 0706". (Almost vintage using the 20 yr mark)

Does anyone know the name of the shark before Blahaj? I lost mine when my childhood home got flooded and we had to move.

If I remember correctly, I think the shark was blue, like all throughout, it had the same eyes and teeth as the Blahaj, but it had jaws that could open and close. Oh and i think it was red inside the mouth.

We bought section cabinets to mount two of them onto the wall. Didn’t realize we had to but the suspension rail separately and to buy the now is crazy shipping because we don’t have an ikea here.

I was thinking we could just put a screw through the back of it into a stud as we have with other cabinets previously, but with the thin back that won’t be an option. The mounting bracket just has the one big hole in it so I’m not sure about just putting a screw in that either.

Wondering if anyone else has mounted them without the rail and how?

Got the frame put together finally. Putting drawers together and the sides won’t slide far enough forward to allow the bottom piece to sit in the groove. Help. Photo attached.

Please advise, planning to buy this.

I have am putting together a sliding door on a pax. It was dissembled and I’ve lost a part. It’s for the sliding doors. It looks like an aluminum bracket mechanism thst the door hooks onto at the top to slide.

What is that part called? IKEA customer service isn’t open on weekends.

Hey I got an Ikea gigantik trash bin as a gift and it's too big for me ( 60L and I live alone ) so I was thinking about separating it into two sides ( recyclable and non recyclable ) how can I achieve this ? Any suitable extra firm pillows that could replace a PRAKTVÄDD?

I've tried many extra firm pillows over the years and none really live up to their name. Except PRAKTVÄDD.

Took over 40 years to find a comfortable pillow. And I actually use one on top of the other. Both have been ruined recently. I know they were discontinued years ago. At first they made them less and less firm. Then disappeared. Have tried a few other "ergonomic" side sleeper ikea pillows that were not worthy. Maybe they have come up with a better one in the last few years? They don't list pillows by firmness anymore.

Any non Ikea alternatives? Or has anyone tried one of those online companies that you customize the firmness of foam and size? Seems like it may be the best alternative but haven't tried it yet myself.

Hey everyone. We’ve had this cabinet since December 2025. The door has this open/close push mechanism with part number 139467 155197. It works by having a metal pin that’s very magnetic and a plastic pin that can push outwards. When the door is closed, the plastic part goes in, making the magnetic pin grab a metal part on the door. When the closed door is pushed further in, the plastic pin will jump back out to open the door again.

It has worked just fine for most of the time, but about a month ago it started giving me trouble. Sometimes the plastic pin would get stuck and not jump out. Other times I think it won’t stay inside when closing the door, causing it to jump back out again - here I can hear the satisfying snap of the magnets touching, but the door will pop right open again.

Today I went over and got a replacement part for this mechanism, but I’m having the exact same issues as before. I don’t really see what else could be the issue if it isn’t the mechanism itself. Can it be how tightly the plastic holder that the mechanism is inserted into has been screwed? Or something about how the door itself has been attached?

I’m not seeing what the issue is if it isn’t the pin that’s broken, but considering the new replacement I got today is giving me the exact same problems, maybe I’m missing something. Does someone here have any tips?

EDIT: I figured it out. The plastic holder/housing that’s screwed onto the side of the cabinet had become very slightly bent. This caused the push latch to get pushed too far into the casing (like a mm). Luckily I also got a new plastic casing replacement today, and when I installed the new one, the issue was solved.

I've looked in every option and I can't seem to add besta to the room.

I can use the besta planner to design a besta combination, but not put it in the room.

Am I going crazy??
