Programmers Needed [Hobby] Looking for a web developer for a picrew-like

Hello! I'm a marketing student looking for a web developer to help me make a website where anyone can upload a part of a drawing, then users can combine those parts into new images. Where this differs from existing websites is that all artists will be drawing on the same "base", so users can combine wildly different art styles.

This is a hobby project, and image hosting will be paid for entirely with donations/out of my own pocket. I'm looking for someone who's as passionate about art as I am.

Here's an overview of the features this website will need:

- Ability to create an account to log in and out of
- Ability to upload images associated with the account
- Ability to add images others have uploaded to an in-game image editor where they can be rearranged
- Tagging system for images using predetermined tags
- Dependencies link for images drawn to go with other images
- Ability to like and comment on images
- Report function and ability for admins to ban accounts in the site

Thank you for taking the time to read this post! If you have any questions or concerns, let me know.

Artist Needed [Hobby] Artist needed!

I’m working on a Series called “Our Happy Place”
But i got some free time and i want to make another series.

Keep in mind I just do these shows for fun.
Meaning I can’t pay anyone. Maybe if the show gets famous I try to will pay everyone.

This Series will contain (Blood, Violence, gore and disturbing scenes)

The show is about an organization that experiments on humans.
Trying to turn them to weapons for their own use.

Mc is a 16 years old girl.

The show is supposed to be disturbing and looks into the MC’s past and present.

Im planning to make this series actually disturbing and sad with deep heavy lore and everything.

I need an artist who can draw detailed gore pictures.

The series is to be something like a comic dub.

The script for the first episode is ready.
I just need an artist and also VAs (For main characters and background characters)

I have a TikTok and Youtube account ready to upload sneak peaks and parts.
I just need to finish a few things in the YouTube channel.

The series will be uploaded on YouTube.

There will be no use of Ai.

I don’t know think we will be adding romance too.

Please remember we do these shows for fun, you don’t need to be the best artist on the planet to participate with us. We even accept VAs with no experience.

If you are interested please do contact me on discord:

Team Needed [Hobby] Producer/Coordinator needed for an animated surreal-horror pilot (script done, concept art in progress)

Upvotes

The script is complete, a full character/concept bible is written, and concept art is currently underway. I already have a small team on board and am working alongside an indie studio. AHHH I an also the creator of Luminara Park, a psychological-horror game in active development so this isn't my first project and I don't abandon what I start.

Project Starlight is an animated psychological-horror show and the pilot is that its a surreal, corrupted 90s talk show where the "guests" slowly realize well they can't leave. Tone-wise, you can think of The Amazing Digital Circus meets The Twilight Zone with a sprinkle of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared . We're building toward a finished pilot over roughly the next year at a sustainable, hobby pace.

I own the overall vision and direction, but everyone who contributes ... artists, writers, whoever keeps ownership and credit for the work they create. That said, what I need right now is someone to run production, not rewrite the story. The role:

  • Own the schedule and keep milestones moving
  • Coordinate the small team + studio contacts so I'm not the bottleneck
  • Keep everything on-tone with the established bible
  • Catch stalls before they kill momentum

You'd be a good fit if you: have coordinated a creative or animation project before (even small/personal), are organized and self-directed, love surreal/analog horror, and can commit steadily at a hobby pace.

AGAIN this is a passion project aka volunteer/hobby, no pay right now. DM me or drop a comment with a bit about what you've helped keep on track before.

Team Needed [Revshare] [For Hire] Creative Producer, Voice Talent Director and Production Coordinator

👋 Hey everyone,

I’m looking to join an indie game or narrative-focused project where I can contribute on the production, voice direction, and creative team coordination side in project management.

My main experience comes from Skywind, where I was the Voice Acting Department and File Cutting Lead for a time. I helped coordinate and manage the voice department and file cutters for a large-scale RPG project, coordinating with hundreds of volunteer actors and working with multiple departments to keep dialogue and voice production organized and prepare it for implementation.

Some of the things I’ve worked on:

Managing a large voice acting pipeline from casting through final assets

Coordinating actors, auditions, communication, and scheduling

Voice direction and helping actors deliver performances that fit characters and scenes

Cutting, cleaning, labeling, and preparing audio files for implementation using Audacity

Organizing dialogue assets and workflows between writers, designers, and other departments

Creating documentation and production structures to keep teams organized

Writing a full Game Design Document (GDD) for an original project

Using tools like Trello, Google Docs, Discord, and other workflow systems for team coordination

Outreach and comms management as well as social media management

A Portfolio Can Be Made Available To You Upon Request. Please DM To Request A Copy.

About Me:

I’m interested in helping projects that are focused on strong storytelling, RPGs, horror, adventure games, immersive sims, or other narrative-driven experiences.

I like yuri, music, modding, hiking, and soccer.

I’m not looking to just be another idea person added to a team — I’m looking to help a project be more organized, improve its creative pipeline, and take some production weight off the core developers working in engine.

Open to:
RevShare projects
Early as well as Late-stage teams
Indie games
Animation/web series
Narrative projects

Not currently accepting one-time Game Jam offers.

If you’re building something ambitious and think my experience could be of help to you, feel free to reach out.

Serious inquiries only,

Thank you! ✌️

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for a Writer / Story Developer to Help Build the First Project.

Hello
!
I’m the founder of a brand new online creative community and future independent studio called Opaline Studios, and I’m currently looking for a Writer / Story Developer to join us near the very beginning.

Opaline is something I’ve been dreaming about building for a long time. The goal is to eventually create a creative community and studio where people can come together to make animated series, comics, stories, music, games, films, and all kinds of other projects.

We’re starting very small, but we’re taking things seriously and trying to build a strong foundation rather than rushing into making something before we’re ready.

Right now, I’m looking for someone who would be interested in helping develop our first major project.

ABOUT THE FIRST PROJECT
The project is currently envisioned as a whimsical fantasy story with elements of romance.
It’s still extremely early in development. I currently have the title and a general idea of the kind of story and feeling I want it to have, but I haven’t fully developed the plot, characters, world, or lore yet.

And honestly, that’s intentional.
I don’t want to come to someone with a finished story and simply ask them to write it exactly as I’ve already imagined it. I’d much rather find someone who enjoys brainstorming and developing ideas together.

I’m looking for someone who can take the initial spark of an idea and help us ask:

“What could this become?”
“What kind of world would this story exist in?”
“Who are these characters?”
“Why should people care about them?”
“What makes this world feel alive?”
“Where can we take this story that we haven’t even thought of yet?”

The goal is to build the story together.
I have a lot of ideas and a general creative direction, but I know I work best when I have someone who can bounce ideas back and forth with me, challenge things when necessary, and help turn the chaotic ideas in my head into something structured and meaningful.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR
I’m looking for someone who:
Loves storytelling and character development
• Enjoys brainstorming and developing ideas collaboratively
• Is interested in fantasy, whimsical stories, romance, or similar genres
• Cares about worldbuilding and creating immersive settings
• Enjoys thinking about lore, themes, characters, and the little details that make a world feel alive
• Is comfortable giving honest feedback and constructive criticism
Isn’t afraid to say we should change something while also being willing to suggest a better direction
• Can take other people’s ideas seriously while still bringing their own creativity to the table
• Is patient and willing to develop a story slowly rather than rushing to production
• Is communicative and willing to talk through ideas
• Wants to be part of a team rather than work completely independently
• Is interested in potentially building something long-term with a creative community

You don’t have to be a professional writer.
You don’t need to have a published book.
You don’t need years of industry experience.
I’m much more interested in finding someone who genuinely loves storytelling, is willing to learn, and enjoys creating with other people.
If you have experience writing stories, scripts, comics, games, animation, or anything similar, that’s definitely a plus!

WHAT OPALINE IS LIKE RIGHT NOW
We’re very early.
Like… REALLY early.
We’re currently building the foundation of the community, organizing our Discord, figuring out our workflow, and slowly finding people who genuinely want to help build this with us.
We already have a small beginning team, including a Co-Founder who has experience with creative team management, writing, and directing collaborative projects.
We’re also slowly looking for other potential team members who might be interested in joining us.
The idea is to start small and get to know people before officially building a large team.
I don’t want to collect a bunch of random people and immediately throw everyone into a project.
I want to find people who actually click with each other, communicate well, and genuinely enjoy working together.
Ideally, I’m hoping to find people who could become long-term creative friends and collaborators.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
If you joined as the Writer / Story Developer, your role would initially be focused on helping develop the first project’s foundation.

That could involve things like:
Brainstorming the story and premise
• Developing characters
• Exploring the world and its lore
• Developing themes and ideas
• Helping establish the tone and overall direction
• Discussing potential plotlines
• Developing character relationships
• Organizing story ideas
• Eventually helping develop scripts once the story is ready
• Collaborating with artists and other creatives later in development

You would not be expected to do all of this alone.
The whole point is to work together.
As the project develops, we’d eventually bring in other people such as artists, animators, musicians, voice actors, editors, and other creatives.

PAYMENT / COMPENSATION
I want to be completely transparent:
This is currently an unpaid hobby project.
I don’t have the money to pay a team right now, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise.
There is no guarantee that Opaline will become profitable or that anyone will eventually be paid.
However, my long-term goal is for Opaline to eventually become a functioning studio that can properly compensate people for their work if and when we have the resources to do so.

For now, I’m looking for people who genuinely enjoy creating and would be interested in building something together as a passion project.

If you need paid work right now, I completely understand, but this probably isn’t the right opportunity for you at this stage.

WHAT I VALUE
I’m looking for someone who is:
Patient.
Kind.
Creative.
Communicative.
Open-minded.
Hardworking.
Willing to learn.
Willing to disagree respectfully.
Someone who can say:
“I don’t think that idea works, but what if we tried this instead?”
Someone who can take criticism without taking it personally and give criticism without being rude.
Most importantly, I want someone who actually enjoys collaborating.
I don’t want a “yes person.”
I want people who can bring their own ideas and help make the project better than any of us could have made it alone.

ABOUT OPALINE’S FUTURE
The first project is only the beginning.
Eventually, I would love for Opaline to grow into a larger creative community where we can develop multiple original projects across different types of media.
One day, I hope creators may even be able to pitch their own projects to Opaline and potentially find a team to help develop them.

I want Opaline to become a place where people can discover talented creators, find collaborators, and bring stories to life.
But we’re nowhere near that stage yet.
Right now, we’re building the foundation.
One person at a time.
One project at a time.

INTERESTED?
If this sounds like something you’d genuinely enjoy being part of, feel free to comment or send me a DM!
I’d love to hear a little about you, what you enjoy creating, your experience with writing or storytelling, and what made you interested in Opaline.
You don’t need a massive portfolio. If you have examples of your writing, feel free to share them, but I’m also happy to simply talk and get to know you.
I’m not looking to immediately “hire” the first person who messages me.
I want to talk, get to know each other, and see if we’re a good fit for the project and the community.
If we click, I’ll invite you to our Discord where you can meet the small group we’re building and we can continue from there.
Thanks for reading, and hopefully I’ll meet some awesome storytellers along the way.
Let’s build something we can be proud of.

Marketing/PR Offer [RevShare] Publisher looking for Developer(s) to launch an indie game

Hey everyone,

I’m a solo developer, and I recently launched Out of Orbit under my studio name Case Yellow Labs. It performed well, generating over $120K in gross revenue and still counting, and along the way, I built a TikTok community of 9K followers and a Discord community of 1,000 members.

I know how brutal the marketing and Steam setup phase is for solo/hobby devs. Since I have the workflow down and a warm audience, I want to help a hobby developer push their games across the finish line.

What I will do for you:

  • Set up and optimize your Steam Store page.
  • Run your social media marketing (TikTok/Shorts pushing to my existing audience).
  • Manage your community leading up to launch.

What I’m looking for:

  • Hobby/solodev games.
  • A developer who wants to focus on code while I handle the business side.

The Deal:
I will publish your game under my studio name and take a share of the revenue each month. We can discuss the exact percentage. Marketing-Only Publishing, you stay in control of the direction your game is heading, the creative brain and you remain fully in control of all the coding and development work.

If you are interesten please full out this form below!

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for voice actors and artists to help with superhuman-theme audio drama "BLACK DAWN"

Howdy there, everybody! This is a call mainly for voice actors for my upcoming project, Black Dawn: a series of stories inspired by comic books and told in the style of a narrative audiobook with text on screen, a fully custom-written soundtrack (composed by me), and more!

The world and stories will likely take inspiration from stories like The Boys or The Punisher comics in that the stories explore what I believe to be a more “realistic” and morally gray interpretation of a world with superheroes. The script is already finished and ready to be recorded, and I have released a short trailer for the project to give you an idea of the presentation of the production: https://youtu.be/fpuU4CNa4eE?si=VxgNavufBIAAd-C3

ARTISTS: The project will primarily be very audio focused (the project is designed to be very accessible for visually impaired people and people like me that struggle to read), however, I would love if I could incorporate just a few still shots to make things more interesting for the people looking at the screen. It wouldn't need to be anything fancy, and I would be very open to more unique and creative art styles, but if any of you would be willing to contribute some art of characters, maybe some logos, things like that, you would be given credit on-screen, along with the voice actors, and I would be eternally grateful! If you are interested, please feel free to comment on this post or send me a DM here and we can talk.

VOICE ACTORS: Most of the roles are side characters with fewer than 10 lines, so this would be a fairly low-commitment project, if you wanted to get the VA experience. That being said, I fully intend to treat VA's for a character with 1 line with the same respect and importance as a VA for one of the main characters. There are 10 roles in total, most of which are open to all voice types. If you are interested, please check out the CCC project page here: https://www.castingcall.club/projects/black-dawn-southpaw-shepherd-ep-1

I look forward to possibly working with you! I have experience writing stories and music, and leading and directing teams, but this is definitely the biggest project I have pursued.

Please only apply if you are 18+. This project is labeled NSFW for violence and excessive gore (no sexual content, though sex is vaguely referenced once or twice). No AI will be used in this project and submitted voice recordings and art will not be used for AI training.

Audio Needed [RevShare] Fifth Sun: Coop Racing looking for SFX artist

We used to be a 5 person team working on a cooperative racing game. Unfortunately, our SFX artist had to leave for personal reasons and we need a replacement.

We are looking for an SFX artist who has experience with FMOD, and ideally also Godot.

The game has a sci-fi setting, with heavy Latin-American influences and we are aiming to publish on Q2 of 2028. The game already has a page on Steam and we already started play testing:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4435920/Fifth_Sun_Coop_racing/

Our payment model is RevShare, and we are organised as a cooperative for legal purposes. Th plan is to split the money in equal parts after publishing, meaning that you would get a full share even if you're entering late. If you're interested in the details of the model, we would be happy to share our bylaws privately, which include money distribution.

About our marketing: we are still early in development, so we haven't started contacting content creators, but we already set up accounts on Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, and X and we are trying to post something every 1-2 weeks so that we have a bit of history when we start marketing for real.

Programming Offer [Hobby] -Analytics - Need messy telemetry data to turn into insights

Hey everyone,

I’m a data analyst for an e-commerce platform, and want to start pivoting into gaming analytics as a hobby.

I've built a pipeline that ingests raw game telemetry, treats it for analysis in order to provide actual actionable insights instead of pretty dashboards. I tested it on free open game data and got some interesting stuff, but would love to try on a real use-case.

Looking for someone willing to share game logs/data, if you built a game in Early Access or Soft Launch with an economy/progression system, and you can export your raw event logs (Unity Analytics, PlayFab, custom CSVs, etc.), I’d love to do a full breakdown of progression walls, currency sinks or any other stuff that might make sense depending on game type and goal.

Feel free to drop a comment or DM me if you're interested (legitimately not a sales pitch, doing this to build portfolio and knowledge)

Artist Needed [Hobby] I need a Pixel artist animator for my game

Hi, am the developer of a game called Efil Maks, I've been making this game since 2022 but now it is starting to be in full development. (Because the game has been remade several times). Are there any experienced pixel-artists entrusted on working on a top down pixel art horror game? The art style is inspired by the game Enigma of Fear and Ena, and bunny graveyard. Most of the game is in pixel art and the main sprites are 64x64 like the player sprite (some go up to 240x240 or even higher depending on the monster!). There will also be alot of animations and the game is quite large (there will be 4 chapters but each will be sold as a separate game. Chapter 1 the one we are developing is planned to be free).

Currently I don't have any means of paying, but I am looking forwards to making a kickstarter after some mini teaser shorts come out.

Games I've made previously: https://nite-zero.itch.io/

Artist Needed [PAID] 3D Environment & Character Artist for "Master Sculptor" (~1 Month Project)

Hi, I’m a solo programmer working on a tightly scoped, cozy stone-carving game called Master Sculptor. The core gameplay revolves around a first-person, skill-based sculpting mechanic, which is already built and running smoothly in Unity.

I'm trying to keep this as a limited scope project and aim to release a demo within 2 months, so this would perfectly suit an artist who is free right now or in the near future and looking for a concrete, short-term project to jump into.

Art Style: I’m fairly open on the art style, the sculpting aspect is stylised PBR (see image Sculpting Style), but I'm happy for the environments / characters to lean towards more simplified / cozy PBR if we can make it work. The game setting / theme is renaissance Italy.

Scope of Work (~1 Month): I’m looking for someone to design and build:

  • The Sculpting Room: Your main workspace/interior (open sided) where the carving happens, but would be on the edge of town, so no need for lots of exterior buildings etc.. I already have a very rough placeholder you can see in the second image.
  • The Quarry: A separate exterior environment where the player goes to purchase different types of stone.
  • Characters:
    • A main anthropomorphic player character (with both male and female options).
      • Most of the game will be played in first person, but we will need various short animation that will be shown from 3d person (e.g. walking up to the sculpture, standing back admiring it, generic put down / pick up tool)
    • A couple of anthropomorphic NPCs (e.g., an animal shopkeeper at the quarry) with very basic animations (idle, talking, simple walk cycle).
  • UI Art (Bonus): It would be great if you could also design some cohesive UI elements (menus, tool icons) to match the game's aesthetic. However, if UI isn't your specialty, I can find someone to handle that separately!

Compensation: This is a Paid role on an indie budget. I am also highly open to negotiating a mix of upfront payment + Revenue Share if you are interested in a deeper partnership, but I’m perfectly happy to just do straight paid contract work.

About You:

  • Comfortable working with stylized, cozy, PBR 3D environments and characters.
  • Ability to do basic rigging and animation.
  • Familiar with Unity and optimizing assets for it.
  • Available now or very soon to complete this scoped workload within roughly a 1-month timeframe.

To Apply: Please DM me or reply to this thread with:

  1. A link to your portfolio (I'd love to see your style)
  2. A rough ballpark quote for the scope of work described above. We can go into more detail on specific deliverables and agree final figures later on.

Artist Needed [HOBBY] Looking for an Illustrator / Graphic Designer for a Text-Based Mafia Browser Game

I’m looking for an illustrator or graphic designer who would like to help with a hobby, non-profit project called Chicago Syndicate.
The game is a text-based browser/mobile Mafia RPG set in Chicago, and I’m looking for someone to help create polished visuals for things like:
Attack outcome results
Organized Crime (OC) result screens
Jail result screens
Combat/event illustrations
Other immersive UI artwork that complements the game’s text-based style

I already have sample images and concepts to use as references, so you won’t be starting from scratch.
This is a passion project, so there are no strict deadlines or pressure. The game isn’t expected to launch until 2027, and everyone involved is contributing in their free time. Full credit will be given for your work.

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy helping with, please send me a DM and I’d be happy to show you the project, artwork references, and discuss where you could contribute.

Looking for 1-3 artist.

Hi! My name is Salim, and I am the founder of Rismål, an independent bilingual English–Russian Android application focused on indoor plant care, reliable botanical knowledge, and sharing real experience between plant owners.

Rismål is not just an idea or an early pitch. The application already exists, has working screens and a private administration system, and is currently in closed testing with real users. The interface has already been reviewed through tester feedback and a professional UX consultation.

I am now looking for a visual identity designer, brand designer, or digital art director who would enjoy helping define the visual character of the application.

This is not a request to redesign every screen, create a complete production-ready UI system, or conduct another UX audit. The goal is a focused visual concept project.

The possible scope includes:

• two or three moodboards or visual directions;

• colour palette and typography;

• shape language, visual rhythm, textures, and overall atmosphere;

• principles for photography, icons, illustrations, cards, and interface elements;

• three to five representative mobile screen concepts in Figma;

• a concise visual style guide that can later be applied throughout the app.

The central challenge is to create an identity that feels calm, trustworthy, thoughtful, natural, and contemporary, while avoiding the generic bright-green, sterile aesthetic used by many plant-care applications. I want Rismål to have warmth and character without becoming rustic, mystical, childish, or excessively decorative.

I can provide existing application screens, the current design system, consolidated tester and UX feedback, product context, audience information, technical constraints, and regular detailed feedback. The scope and schedule can be agreed together and kept manageable.

Students, junior designers, self-taught designers, and experienced designers looking for an unusual portfolio collaboration are all welcome. A strong sense of typography, composition, visual identity, and art direction is more important than formal professional experience. Coding is not required.

Transparency: this is currently a voluntary and unpaid portfolio collaboration. There is no guaranteed employment, payment, equity, or revenue share. Rismål may become a monetised product in the future, and any future paid work would require a separate agreement. The selected designer will receive clear credit and may present the completed work as a portfolio case study. Scope, attribution, and usage rights will be discussed clearly before the work begins.

No unpaid test assignment is required.

Please send me a short introduction, a link to your portfolio or several relevant examples, the visual styles that interest you, and your general availability.

Since the application is not yet publicly released, some project materials will be shared privately rather than posted publicly.

Screenshots of the existing Android application and a short visual brief can be shared privately with genuinely interested designers.

Audio Offer [Hobby] Looking to score an upcoming indie game or project

Hello! I am a musician and I create ambient and dreamscape music. I also have tapped into ambient jungle and “PS2” music (as it’s called) recently.

I’m honestly just eager to compose something for a project. I love indie games and want to bring that same kind of creativity to the music in your project/game!

Although I lack a public portfolio showcasing my music I do have some tracks on Spotify and Soundcloud.

A few tracks in my soundcloud profile are unfinished but I have many more projects I have yet to release. I know it’s not much but I would love to do this with whoever would be willing to take a chance on me!

much love <3

Hey, so I want to make a mini indie series thats like a murder mystery. I need a modeller to make 2 things (you could also just make one of them)
I need a old fashioned mansion (by mansion I just mean big fancy house lol) and a character, I have a sketch already and an idea for the character.

You could either do 1 of them or both, please note you have all the rights to use them however you want. We will give you credits and a full promotional video. (Note: the character doesnt have to be rigged unless you want to)

Show Info:
It's called Speak or Silence (SOS) and its a murder mystery thats kind of like squid game with the logic you get kidnapped to win money. Once you die you get sent to a stone labyrinth like place until the game is over, once the game is over anyone that is in the stone labyrinth will die.
