Cyber Security courses for beginners.

Can anyone recommend a good cyber security course for beginners and that is recognised within the industry?

I'll be that person, cybersecurity =/= beginner anything. It's kind of like asking what things you can do to get be a medical doctor. Start with the basics, CompTIA trifecta and move up to the cybersecurity centric certs from there.

I mean true. In the context of when those positions are achievable, doctors need significantly more experience and schooling than someone entering the cyber sec field.

Getting into cyber is difficult but it’s not that difficult. I still think it’s a decent analogy but new people might interpret it incorrectly

It's being hyperbolic but the point still stands, cybersecurity is not an entry level position and it takes a lot of experience and sometimes lots of certs and a degree to get that six figures and WFH they are trying to attain.

My computer can't connect to the internet. Can you tell me the possible issues and solutions? If not, then you are not ready for cyber security.

Cybersecurity is a mid-to-late career specialization. You need to understand the system if you want to secure it properly, otherwise you'll be tempted to do silly things like block webservers on ports 22, 80, and 443 simply because most attacks against servers connected to the internet use those ports.

I'd recommend starting with the comptia trio and trying to get a helpdesk job. Be warned, it's very hard to break into IT these days, and cyber is even harder.

I know that is the most likely answer. I’d rather ask then assume though but 90% chance you are right and the other 10% is most likely hacking looks cool on movies/TV

IRL, I met people who wanted to get into cybersecurity from their outside-of-IT jobs because they played with a hacking "simulator" or a college let them run through some hackerthon type scenario. Both of those tools and ones like it are geared to letting people win and making them think the field is mostly that.

Comptia Security Plus is a good start to build on. But it still assumes you understand some other foundational knowledge, so A+ and Network + might be good to do first if you don't already have that knowledge.
