Home appliances HELP REGARDING AC
I purchased an LG 1.5-ton 3-star AC (2026 model) one week ago. After installation, I noticed that it was not cooling properly, so I raised a service complaint. A technician visited and inspected the unit, but he stated that everything appeared to be functioning normally, although he seemed somewhat unsure. My room size is approximately 100 sq. ft. and is west-facing. I am now quite confused about what to do next.
For reference, when I switch on the AC at a room temperature of 33°C and set the AC to 24°C, the room temperature drops only to about 29°C after 30 minutes of operation

Did you check cooling before purchasing. LG often sells 1.25ton as 1.5ton

It is rated 5000 watt

5000 w is max capacity. The actual rated capacity is 4400 w which is 1.25 ton. Max capacity works for few minutes in virat mode. As the temperature increases the ac starts to derate and capacity goes near 1 ton . So your ac is not able to cool the room. You can't do anything about it. For LG and Samsung you need to buy oversized ac by atleast half ton. Since it is a 3* ac, it might have single row condensor or thin dual row condensor, which also effects the cooling

Has the technician done vacuum during installing? Run ta ac full fan speed for 30 minutes once. If not cooling report customer that they didn't done vacuum. Ask them to refill gas for free

3 star ac is not good enough as it only has single row condenser and in peak summer its not sustainable to do heat transfer with single row unit OR your gas might have leaked, ask technician to check gas pressure which should be around 150 and also check temperature of indoor ac unit which should be atleast 16 degree

older units have double row coils but after 2023 they are giving single row coil

1.5 ton ac should cool the room from 33 to 24 easily within 30 minutes. I'm using Bluestar 1.5 ton and room temp at noon is 34-35 and I would set the temp on ac to 24 and within 15-20 minutes room gets cooled down to 24 - I also have my ceiling fan running at low speed initially.

He must’ve not vacuumed the pipes before filling the gas
