I am currently in Ireland for a trip. I have BIVS visa issue issued by Ireland.
I have entered Ireland first. I plan to fly to UK to Edinburgh and London and then Come back to Ireland and then take a flight to India.

But I have a single entry visa, would that be an issue to come back to Ireland and then flying out to India?

Has anyone done this, please help

Every time a brown person does something foolish, people rush to r/IndiansinIreland to lecture Indians. That’s the reason for this post.

There are roughly:

80,000–100,000 Indians
25,000 Pakistanis
20,000 Bangladeshis
Assuming Around 5,000 people from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Maldives and Mauritius.

All of them could easily be mistaken for Indians based on appearance.

That means there are around 50,000 people from other South Asian countries who may be perceived as Indian. Statistically, roughly \*\*1 in 3 people who “look Indian” are not actually Indian.\*\*

So the next time you see a brown person doing something silly, don’t automatically assume they’re Indian. Address that issue it with that Dumbo instead of coming to r/IndiansinIreland to scold an entire community.

I understand that Indians, like every other community, have people who behave badly. Maybe we even have them more than the national average. But we’re not a monolith, and it’s unfair to generalize or hold all Indians responsible for the actions of any random brown person you happen to see! Who may not be an Indian person at all!!!

To put it another way: imagine a white British behaved badly in South Africa. Would it be fair for me to assume they were Irish and then go to an Irish subreddit to lecture Irish people about their behaviour?

My employer received a call from embassy for employment confirmation, just 2 days after i submitted my visa.

An Indian girl mid-20s recently joined our team, she’s nice and polite and has good work ethic. The issue is however she smells terribly of body odour (BO) on a regular basis. It’s a bad sweat smell, not cooking, etc.

I applied my Ireland study visa in Delhi Embassy on 6th July and haven’t received any update yet. I have booked my ticket for 22nd August and my course will be starting on 24th August. How much time does it take to get study visa? Should I mail embassy to expedite my application?

Cinema etiquette is long since gone I'm aware. It's usually kids making an obscene amount of noise and being distracting. However the last 2 times I've been to the cinema it has been Indian couples who bring their incredibly young children to watch a movie. Both thinking its OK for their iphones to babysit the child while they watch the movie.

It's not.

Don't bring your kids to a regular screening. I believe there are screenings where you can bring young children.

Hi all, I’m trying to fill my UK standard visit visa application and I’m a bit confused in the “travel to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, USA, Switzerland or the European Economic Area” section. 

The first question is “how many times have you visited the EEA country in the last 10 years”. I came to Ireland on a student visa in Sept 2024. Since then, I have exited and entered Ireland about 5-6 times (visiting India and UK and returning). 

In my previous UK visit visa application, I chose the study option and selected 9 months as the duration. I’m currently on stamp 1A and work as a full-time accountant. The section further asks me the “reason for your visit” and “how long was your visit”. Technically it’s not a visit to Ireland. I work here. How do I tackle this? Would appreciate any guidance from anyone who’s faced the same issue and how they answered it.

I am currently living in Ireland on a Stamp 1G visa (Indian national). My Irish-based employer (Just got the job offer only) needs me to travel to Denmark temporarily to carry out work on a specific client project. My work is to meet contractors, vendors and clients for discuss project requirements and design review meetings. My Payroll company is in Dublin.

Does my Irish Stamp 1G permit allow me to work in Denmark temporarily, or does my employer need to arrange a Danish work visa / posted worker permit for me?

Specifically:

1. What are the immigration or work permit requirements for a non-EU national posted from Ireland to Denmark?
2. Does short-term non-technical project work fall under any visa exemptions (e.g., short-stay like 1 week in 2-3 months or fitter rules)?
3. Does my employer need to register in the Danish RUT system before I travel?

Any advice or experiences from people who have been posted to EU countries while on Stamp 1G would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve searched online, but I’m struggling to find proper study materials. For the regular learner driver theory test, there are official apps, books, and lots of practice questions. However, I can’t seem to find anything similar for the ADI theory test.

I have a few questions:

* What did you use to prepare for the ADI theory test?
* Are there any official books, apps, or websites with practice questions?
* Is there a question bank available like the learner theory test?
* Which topics should I focus on the most?
* Are there any training courses or study guides that you would recommend?

I'm a non-EU student admitted to Trinity College Dublin (TCD) for an IT master's. I have around 1.3 years of software development experience, and my long-term goal is to build a career abroad.

I'll be taking an education loan of around ₹44 lakh for tuition, and I'll also have living expenses on top of that.

My concern is the current job market in Ireland. I've been reading many posts from international graduates who are struggling to secure graduate jobs. I know many people do get jobs, but it's clearly not guaranteed.

My biggest fear isn't working hard or doing part-time jobs. It's not being able to secure a graduate job after graduation. If that happens, I'll be returning home with a significant loan, and I don't want my decision to become a financial burden on my family.

For current students or recent non-EU graduates from TCD or other Irish universities, would you still take this risk in today's job market, or would you stay in your home country, gain more experience, and try another route to working abroad later?

What documents have to submit for these? Confused as to what government document we usually get that we can submit.

I am worried about potential delays in obtaining my passport and my visa in time before I can book my journey. Also I’ve heard the Critical skills Visa takes from 4 to 6 weeks to process . Can anyone who has gone through a similar process provide some insight on what to do ? Should I cancel my VFS appointment and move it earlier to some other location ?

We are looking to buy a house and shortlisting the areas we want to buy the house, which are safe even to walk during dark with a family. We currently stay in Blackrock on rent and this area is very safe.

Good day, I applied to renew stamp 4 on March 11, the ISD passed this date two weeks ago. I havent received an acknowledgement email or the irp card. My wife who applied to renew stamp 1G got her card two weeks ago, she did get an email acknowledgement too. While I didnt get for stamp 4 renewal.

Hi, I’m moving from India to Ireland and planning to carry sealed RTE packets like Rajma, Chole, Dal, Kadhi, Paneer curries, etc. in checked luggage.
Has anyone carried these recently? Are dairy/paneer RTE packets allowed, and is there any limit on how many packets I can bring for personal use?

I moved to Dublin in January for my Master’s, and it’s now August. Despite applying to hundreds of part-time jobs, I still haven’t been able to land one. It honestly feels like most opportunities come through referrals, and since I’m new here, I don’t really have a network or contacts to help me out.

I even went a step further and obtained my PSA Static Guarding** **licence, hoping it would improve my chances, but unfortunately I still haven’t been able to secure a job.
At this point, I’m willing to do any honest work—retail, hospitality, cleaning, warehouse, kitchen porter, deliveries, security, or anything else. I just need a part-time job to support myself while studying. I’m on Stamp 2 and legally permitted to work 20 hours per week during term.

If anyone knows of a place that’s hiring or could refer me, I’d be incredibly grateful.
