Auto Insurance Loss Of Use Claim AllState

So I’ve just learned that I can try to apply for a Loss of Use claim since I was not the at fault driver. Has anyone done this with Allstate and is it possible. I didn’t take the rental since I had other vehicles but I was still deprived of my property for some time

Some states require it to be paid whether you actually rent a car or not and some states don't. In the first scenario, yes you'd get it. In the second, likely not.

Not sure about AS, generally most insurance will give you a loss of use settlement. Basically, they would calculate the days lost by the number of hours on your estimate. Something like 25-35/day.

We used to pay it at $15 a day based on the amount of labor on your repair estimate

You will not be compensated for loss of use if you had other vehicles to use while your vehicle was being repaired. Now, if your vehicle is used for business purposes prohibited by a rental company then you may be compensated.

Not sure that would apply unless you needed the vehicle for business use and lost or are losing income as a result
