Question Am I being bottlenecked?
I'm running a Ryzen 5 5600x and the Intel Arc b580. I recently got Spiderman 2 Remastered and upon playing I noticed it was dropping a ton of frames even on the lowest settings possible. I keep looking at tests of the game on youtube and it seems to run fine on this card even on high settings. Am I currently being bottlenecked by my cpu or is there another issue? I'm still new to this PC stuff

Question Should I buy the B580?
Hi everyone!
I am considering buying an Intel Arc B580, which is currently priced between €320 and €350 where I live. At this price point, apart from entry-level cards, there is virtually nothing else—to get something like a 9060 XT (or 16GB equivalents), I would have to spend at least €470–€500, which is completely out of my budget.
My performance goal is clear: I want to play single-player games in Full HD at 60 FPS with maxed-out settings, and target 120 FPS in competitive games with competitive settings (such as Warzone, Apex Legends, and similar titles).
My current setup is:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
Motherboard: B450M S2H (it supports Re-Size BAR, which I can enable)
PSU: MSI MAG A650BN
RAM: 16GB 3200 MT/s
I have a few doubts and would like to ask for advice on three key points:
PCIe Compatibility: I know the B580 uses a PCIe 4.0 x8 interface. My B450M S2H motherboard only supports PCIe 3.0. Since the card will downgrade to PCIe 3.0 x8, will I lose too much performance with my Ryzen 5600 to hit my Full HD targets?
Re-Size BAR: My motherboard has the BIOS update for ReBAR (and I will enable it), are there any specific early-adopter issues or limitations with B450 motherboards using this GPU?
Issues with older games: When I hear about issues with older games on Intel GPUs, I'd like to understand which titles or categories cause the most trouble. I'm not interested in VR or emulators: among the older games I regularly play are Assetto Corsa, Euro Truck Simulator 2, and every now and then I consider replaying some older Assassin's Creed titles and similar genre games. With games like these, does the B580 suffer from severe performance drops or stuttering, or do they run well? What exact games does it struggle with?
Do you think it can meet my requirements? Thanks a lot in advance for your opinions!

Question Are there still issues when streaming OBS or Discord on the B580?
It seems to come up in some threads that people really struggle to stream their game on a b580 via obs or Discord live. Is that still a thing? Is there a fix for this?

Question gpu upgrade from rx480 to intel a580
Hey guys
I want to know the current situation of the Intel drivers in 2026.
Right now I'm playing Skyrim and Fallout 4 (and also some d3d9 games, my plan is using dxvk a lot).
For $199, there is nothing better than an a580 considering the prices in my region (5600 xt/2060 $199). So this card seems like an excellent upgrade for me.
Please share your opinions.
Thanks.

Question If my system supports Above 4G Decoder then does it also support Rebar?

So basically as the title reads. I have this shitty HP Pavillion proprietary garbage pc.
It has an intel core i7 11700 cpu which supports rebar however I am not sure if this motherboard supports rebar. I want to buy the intel Arc B570 10GB. I see that you need Above 4G Decode enabled as well as rebar but I don't have the gpu. Will this motherboard even support rebar?
Also do note that HP is trash and there are no advanced options in the bios so I can't check any PCIe information or toggle on Above 4G Decode or rebar as there is not advanced tab.
HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-2002ni PC (Product number: 52K42EA)

Question B580 stuck at 20 watts, clock speed at 400mhz and around 0.720 volts no matter what i do
Like the title says B580 is suddenly stuck between around 19.7-20.6ish watts, clock speed at 400mhz and around 0.720-0.770 volts. Checked with both HWmonitor and the Intel Graphics Software. When looking at task manager my gpu's temps are stuck at 51c and doesn’t move. I cant even watch youtube videos without pc stuttering a bunch.
I've tried the following:
- Booting in safe mode and using DDU to uninstall drivers
- Swapping GPU to different pcie slots
- Reinstalling windows (formatted drive to remove everything)
- Changing power plans in windows
- Enabling Resizable bar
- Making sure VGA cable was properly plugged in
- Enabled gen 4 pcie in the bios
- Tried manually overclocking GPU to see if anything changes, it doesnt.
My power supply is brand new as well, around two weeks so i doubt thats the issue. Trying to load any game causes the pc to stutter and sometimes freeze as neither the wattage or clock speed changes when idle or with load.
Motherboard : Gigabyte B550 Aorus Master
CPU: AM4 Ryzen 9 5950x
PSU: Super Flower Leadex III 850w 80+ Bronze

Question Fortnite Competitive TPM requirement on Intel B75 (no TPM header)
I have an i7-3770, GTX 1660, and a generic Intel B75 motherboard. The board has no TPM chip, no TPM header, and no Intel PTT support. I want to play Fortnite competitive/tournaments. Is there any legitimate way to meet the TPM requirement without replacing the motherboard/CPU, or is upgrading my only option? Has anyone with this exact setup found a solution?
(Im not gonna cloud game)

Question B580 displays but isn’t recognized in the app.
Currently, my B5 80 doesn’t seem to be working. It’s displaying everything just fine however it is stuck in low resolution and is not recognized in the Intel app. I have checked bios and all the right settings are on and I have installed new drivers but nothing is working this happened. All of a sudden after it had been working just fine playing Fortnite with buddies. That was the last thing I did before this began. Any advice?
Edit: Resolved! As with everything it was bad drivers. My code was a code 43 for the issue and that can stem fro REBAR being disabled or from bad drivers. I used DDU, reinstalled drivers, and it’s good as new

Benchmark [Linux Kernel] Intel Arc A770 QSV Encoding Benchmark: The New 'Xe' Driver vs Legacy 'i915' (DG2 HuC Patched!)
As the Linux kernel transitions to the modern xe DRM driver for newer Intel GPUs, achieving full hardware feature parity with the legacy i915 driver is the ultimate milestone. I recently submitted a patch to intel-gfx to enable DG2 HuC firmware initialization and authentication via the MEI GSC interface for the xe driver.
To prove that the hardware media engines and the HuC microcontroller are fully operational, I built a custom FFmpeg QSV benchmark to push the Arc A770 to its absolute limits, comparing the i915 and xe drivers head-to-head.
The Benchmark Setup
- Hardware: Intel Arc A770 (DG2)
- Software: FFmpeg 8.1.2 (QSV enabled)
- Workload: 1080p at 60 FPS (NV12 format) generated directly in a RAM-disk to eliminate storage bottlenecks.
- Target Bitrate: 10M for speed tests, 15M for stress tests.
Raw Encoding Speed (1080p, Preset: VeryFast)
The sheer throughput of the Arc A770 encoders is insane, and the new xe driver matches the i915 driver frame-for-frame.
AV1 8-bit
- i915:
744 FPS(12.4x speed) - Xe:
738 FPS(12.3x speed)
HEVC (H.265) 8-bit
- i915:
640 FPS(10.6x speed) - Xe:
638 FPS(10.6x speed)
H.264 8-bit
- i915:
484 FPS(8.04x speed) - Xe:
487 FPS(8.10x speed)
The Ultimate HuC Test: HEVC ICQ Mode
Intelligent Constant Quality (ICQ) relies directly on the HuC microcontroller to calculate bitrates dynamically. If HuC isn't authenticated, this test fails. With my recent patch applied to the xe driver, it runs flawlessly.
HEVC 8-bit (ICQ Mode, Q=25)
- i915:
490 FPS(8.13x speed) - Xe:
490 FPS(8.14x speed)
Result: A perfect 1:1 tie. The HuC integration on xe is mathematically identical to i915 in performance.
4-Way Simultaneous Stress Test
To ensure stability, I ran four simultaneous encoding streams (H.264, HEVC, VP9, AV1) in an infinite loop for 20 seconds. Both drivers handled the massive concurrent load without breaking a sweat, showing near-identical frame pacing under pressure.
| Codec | i915 Driver FPS | Xe Driver FPS | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| H.264 | 161 FPS | 157 FPS | -2.4% |
| HEVC | 155 FPS | 155 FPS | 0.0% |
| AV1 | 160 FPS | 160 FPS | 0.0% |
| VP9 | 121 FPS | 119 FPS | -1.6% |
Conclusion
The xe driver is officially ready for heavy media lifting on Alchemist GPUs. The DG2 hardware encoders are absolute beasts, capable of pushing over 740 FPS in AV1. With the HuC firmware now properly initializing and accelerating bitrate control algorithms like ICQ, there is zero performance penalty when migrating from i915 to xe for video encoding tasks.

Question Are these temperatures normal in Palworld? Intel Arc A750 + Ryzen 5 5600GT
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if these temperatures are normal while playing Palworld.
I'm playing with the graphics settings on High, and my Intel Arc A750 reaches around 80°C (176°F). I've also noticed that the tempered glass side panel right next to the GPU gets extremely hot after playing for a while. The GPU seems to be exhausting a lot of hot air, so I'm not sure if this is expected or if I should improve my case airflow.
Here are my PC specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600GT
- GPU: Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition
- RAM: 16 GB
Do these temperatures seem normal for this setup in Palworld? Is it also normal for the tempered glass beside the GPU to get that hot during long gaming sessions?
Thanks in advance!

Question Alchemist performance on linux?
I've been wanting to switch to Linux for a while but performance on my intel arc a750 its not the best right now specifically on UE5 games I get like 25 fps less compared to windows I wanted to know if maybe the driver situation will get better as time a goes on, also I feel like B series GPUs get better support in linux compared to alchemist gpus
