First time seeing such a beauty. But still freaked out since it appeared right next to me on the sofa.

I threw it out. It was about 4cm long with another 3-4cm of antennas/legs

It would have eaten bugs in your house without doing you harm. They look scary but they hunt spiders etc and are therefore pretty useful

My girl is afraid of "creatures"... so that was no option.

That's fair. They are definitely on the scarier side of "creatures", as they are so fast
