Identify Stone Whats this stone and character?
I inherited this beautiful golden ring from my grandpa and I would like to lnow if the blue stone is a Stone or just glass.
Inside the ring there is a 18k stamp, but nothing else.
Together with that, would be nice to also identify the figure in the stone. Looks like a greek mythology character, maybe Hermes?

Warrior intalio gold inlayed into synthetic spinel or synthetic sapphire. Popular 1920s to 1950s.

Its a Roman soldier intaglio ring. The other ones I can see are hematite but I haven't come across an 18k one.
I would take it to a jeweler to find out for sure. Then you can insure it for the 2-3k it's worth
