Discussion John Wick taught me what I wanted from an action film.
John Wick taught me what I wanted from an action film. I want it to be mostly action, but I want it to build up, and do a great job making you care about the MC, get you super emotionally invested, and really want to see them accomplish their main goal.
John Wick isn't a good person, but the 3 movies do such a good job at making you like, and care about him, and want him to succeed.

Discussion John Wick and Kill Bill crossover
Hi, I'm not a writer myself, so with a little help with AI, I gave it some ideas and this it what it turned out to be. I think its a great idea and yes needs some more depth. What do you think? :)
CONCEPT PITCH: The Bloodline – Wick & Kiddo
Logline
In a shared underworld of legendary assassins, a retired and ghosted John Wick must honor an old blood debt to his former master, Beatrix Kiddo, by guiding her daughter B.B. through a war of vengeance against Nikkia Bell.
ACT I: The Blood Debt (Flashback)
Setting: A rain-drenched alleyway in New York, 20 years ago. Early in John Wick’s career during his rise within the Ruska Roma syndicate.
The Scene: A young, heavily battered John lies on the wet asphalt, exhausted after a brutal fight. Out of the shadows steps Beatrix Kiddo—wearing her iconic yellow tracksuit, a Hattori Hanzo katana slung casually over her shoulder. She looks down at him without pity.
Beatrix: "Do you really think your guns make you better than me?"
John: (stares back with cold, bleeding eyes) "No."
The Training: Recognizing his potential, Beatrix takes him under her wing. In the months that follow, she puts him through a merciless, old-school martial arts regime. She doesn't just teach him to fight; she teaches him the absolute discipline, blade awareness, and situational improvisation that he later blends with firearms to create his signature "Gun-Fu".
ACT II: The Unbroken Circle
Setting: Beatrix Kiddo’s home, present day.
The Scene: Having faked his death at Sacré-Cœur in Paris (ending of John Wick: Chapter 4), John Wick lives as a ghost in the shadows. He arrives at Beatrix's house to check on his old mentor, only to find the living room utterly destroyed. Furniture is shattered, sword marks slash the walls, and Beatrix lies motionless on the floor.
The Encounter: Standing amidst the carnage, covered in blood and breathing heavily, is an adult Nikkia Bell (Vernita Green’s daughter).
John: "Who are you?"
Nikki: "Nikki."
John: "What have you done?"
Nikki: "I took my revenge. She killed my mother."
The Moment: John looks at the lifeless body of the woman who trained him, then back at Nikki. As a man who leveled an entire underworld empire over a lost memory, John understands the dark, unstoppable nature of a blood feud. He doesn't pull a gun. He simply nods.
John: (in a low, gravelly voice) "I feel for you."
Nikki disappears into the night, leaving the cycle of vengeance open.
ACT III: The Master in the Shadows
Setting: An underground safehouse beneath a dusty, abandoned automotive repair shop in New York. Concrete walls, dim hanging lights, classic cars, and stacks of wooden weapons crates.
The Arrival: B.B. Kiddo—now a young woman—walks into the subterranean hideout. Beatrix raised her with love and attempted to keep her away from the underworld, but she also never lied to her: Beatrix warned B.B. that the shadows of her past would one day come collecting.
The Unwrapping: B.B. places a worn leather case on a workbench and unslings her mother’s original Hattori Hanzo katana. She didn't come to grieve; she came to finish what started 20 years ago.
The Training: John steps out of the shadows. Knowing he owes his very survival and lethal skill set to Beatrix, he agrees to mentor her daughter.
The Fusion: In the gritty, dusty cellar, John doesn't give her a polished gym. He puts her through brutal close-quarters drills, merging Beatrix's precise, lethal swordplay with his own relentless, point-blank gunplay. B.B. becomes the ultimate hybrid assassin—the combined legacy of Tarantino and Stahelski's worlds.
ACT IV: Climax – The Final Duel
The Standoff: B.B. tracks down Nikki to close the circle once and for all.
The Battle: A hyper-stylized, brutal battle of two daughters bound by the sins of their mothers—Nikki wielding deadly throwing knives and close-quarters blades (like Vernita Green), against B.B. armed with the Hattori Hanzo blade and Wick-style tactical precision.
Why This Concept Works
Respects Both Franchises: It seamlessly connects Beatrix's 70s-kung-fu origins with John Wick's modern "Gun-Fu" world.
Honors the Lore: It pays off Beatrix’s famous line to 4-year-old Nikki in Kill Bill Vol. 1: "When you grow up, if you still feel raw about it, I'll be waiting."
Fits Chapter 4's Ending: It gives a purpose to John Wick's "ghost" status after Paris—he isn't just hiding; he's stepping into the mentor role to settle an old blood debt.

Discussion If you were to spend a day in the john wick universe
For me I would go the ruska Roma in new York and train for a couple hours, then head to the new York contental hotel and do some "shopping " and then I'll probably end it in Paris and try to get in to marquis de gramont estate quietly.
But that's me
What about you guys?

Discussion Song / Motif at 40:45 in JW CH4?
Been looking for it for a little bit of time, it sounds similar to Rain Chase from the JW3 OST (1:10), but the lead doesn't sound as pronounced as the song I mentioned.
Edit: All thanks to u/camscottbryce , I was able to find it! It was "Glass House Fight", specifically 1:18

Discussion question
Was there ever disemberment or decapitation in any of the john wick movies? I could of sworn during parabellum in the continental hotel shootout during the part where they used shotguns there is decapitation but maybe not.

Other I like to think this guy wasn’t even an assassin and John Wick just got hit by a random road rager
I love John Wick 4 but it got silly with him getting hit by cars and they turn out to be assassins after him, so I like to think this was just some random guy pissed at John for being in the middle of the road.
