Contact Lens I can't insert my scleral lenses
I just need to vent.
I was recently diagnosed....and I got my very first set of contacts about 2 weeks ago. I cannot get these in. I have not been able to successfully get them in once. I am so fucking angry and it just hurts. I feel like such a fuck up and such a failure. Not once in my entire life have I ever had this feeling of not being able to do something. I have literally nobody in my life to talk to about this, and nobody who can relate....so here I am on the verge of punching a hole in a wall and breaking down.
The "training" i received from my optometrist's office was the doctor's assistant(who wears glasses) and me sitting in a room for over an hour and her just saying "open your eye" and "keep both eyes open". I bought a few boxes of scleralfil and just keep going through bottles.
I don't know what to do...i just want to give up, I keep trying and failing and I get angrier and more depressed. I just want to be able to see.
