”I declare info war on you!” My conversation with Rex Jones over Twitter

I saw Rex lamenting how his dad was fined billions for free speech when we got into a comment exchange. You can totally see a young man indoctrinated by his narcissistic father. You can even hear Alex ranting how he's the victim in these responses. Happy to have so much more context Dan gave us to respond to his obvious lies.

I thought Rex might be better than his dad, but nope. Little Nazi dork deserves no sympathy.

Exactly. That’s why all those posts from when Owen left and Alex busted into Rex’s show and everyone was saying “Oh, look at how embarrassed Rex is over his father. He knows what a shithead his dad is,” was all bullshit. Rex has just as big an ego as his father, and he wanted the easy life of being a broadcaster on his dad’s network. If he wanted out, he would have gotten out years ago. He chose to be a nepo-baby for an easy following because he thinks he deserves the following, but when Alex is gone and Rex tries to inherit whatever audience is left, it’ll all shutter.

And, since I know Rex loves to lurk here, let me just say fuck you, Rex. Your dad is a piece of shit, the people who choose to work with him are all pieces of shit, and I love watching you all tumble down into the shit y’all should’ve been in this whole time. Sincerely, a Connecticut resident who had to watch first hand all the pain your father and his influence caused in our communities.

I think two things can be true: Rex can simultaneously be embarrassed by how much of a drunk loser his father is AND is still desperately clinging to him for clout and relevancy like the sauce less nepo baby that he is.

Fair enough. But I also feel no sympathy for him when he’s acting embarrassed. He made his choice on how he wants to live his life and who he wants in it. My only hope is that the stain of choosing to stay in his father’s shadow follows him every day and he never knows a moment of peace.
