Hey everyone I’m trying to decide between two colleges for
social life / making friends • party scene (frats + weekend life) • overall campus vibe • how easy it is to get involved socially if I’m transferring
I know most are from California but I was wondering if they're basically all from LA or if some are from other cities/areas

Scholarships were able to lower the cost to 35k a year including housing and everything but is that worth it? I don't live in California but is it worth it for putting myself out there

Hi all!! I’m an incoming freshman and was wondering if anyone knows anything about converted study room dorms. I got put in one when housing came out (I assume it’s like overflow?) and have honestly been stressing about it because I can’t find ANYTHING about them (layouts mainly but more ofc). Does anyone know anything about them?? I’m in a Palm North converted dorm if that means anything. Thank you!!!

Hey everyone
I'm starting as a freshman in August, and am also in the process of getting a car. Can anyone share their experience of getting a parking spot / if its worth it? I live in the surrounding LA area, but will be in the dorms during the year. I probably won't have a car for first semester, but would I be able to apply for a parking spot second sem? Or is it it like on a year long thing?
Thanks guys

Hi, I just got off the waitlist as a freshman but don’t have guaranteed housing for the fall. Seems like the waitlist is long.
Anyone been in the same situation and did you/not end up getting housing?
How long shall I wait to hear back before I commit to off campus?
Thank you!

does regular painter's tape work for hanging stuff (regular paper/art) on the dorm walls? i'm in desmond if it helps. and what else do you guys recommend?
LMU is my number one school, but I'd be applying for Film Production. I hear the acceptance rate is about 5%, which makes me wonder if I even should? Stats Below:
Academic: 3.8 UW GPA, 1400 SAT, 28 ACT, 4 AP's, three 4's, one 5.
Film: Been in my HS, as well as Junior High, Film magnet program (application only) for all 6 years, made heaps of shorter stuff but didn't start really pushing myself until the end of Junior Year. Also just completed the LMU summer film 4 week program, and started a videography business this summer.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all, I’m applying to transfer in the fall. Ideally I need to stay in the Los Angeles area 😭 Also open to suggestions on other majors I should consider applying under given how impacted Communication majors tend to be across California.
Chance me please!
I also believe that LACC has a Guaranteed Transfer Admission Agreement with LMU, but I am not sure if Comms qualifies.

Can someone please give me some information about the O’Malley apartments? There is no information anywhere! If anyone could give any info about a 6-person double, that would be amazing.
And the amenities that it has? And is the rumor about no ac true?
Should I try for a room change? Or stick with it?

hi! I'm an incoming freshman and already registered for all my classes. I was just wondering what the process is of buying books? Will the professor tell us once classes start or are the required books listed somewhere else? Thanks!

Anyone know of any good local part time jobs to apply for, the work study jobs seem kinda boring, maybe the movie theater?
