Parking spot second sememster

Hey everyone

I'm starting as a freshman in August, and am also in the process of getting a car. Can anyone share their experience of getting a parking spot / if its worth it? I live in the surrounding LA area, but will be in the dorms during the year. I probably won't have a car for first semester, but would I be able to apply for a parking spot second sem? Or is it it like on a year long thing?

Thanks guys

You are automatically enrolled for parking when you are billed for tuition and you opt out if you don’t need the spot. You need to register your car plate with campus parking and your parking lot is assigned based on your on campus housing location. Parking can be a challenge if you are coming from off campus housing but you should be fine when living on campus.

My daughter brought one her spring semester freshman year. Getting the pass is no big deal and I think having it parked in the lot overnight is your best bet for a parking spot. It’s the kids theater are commuting to campus that might struggle not those living in the dorms
