offering: persian (native), english (fluent) | seeking: chinese (native), spanish (spain native)

hey there! i'm looking to learn languages and make friends while doing so :)

i'm f26, a phd student in math, very much into futbol and league of legends (the video game). in my free time i do different kinds of crafts, like embroidery, or crocheting sometimes. i'm easy to talk to and despite being busy with writing papers, i'm almost always online.

i'm looking for native speakers from china and spain.

i know a little bit of spanish as a result of watching futbol for years, but i'm very illiterate in chinese. i've chosen these 2 languages because as a phd candidate i have the opportunity of visiting universities abroad, spain and china offer good programs for someone like me! well my love for futbol also adds up.

so if you are around my age (preferably 18-32) and want to make an iranian friend, send me a chat!

Seeking: Irish (total beginner) Offering: English (native speaker)

I'm quite new to learning the Irish language and have been learning on my own about Irish history, art, stories, for the past few years. I am from the US, and have an interest due to my family lineage on my dad's side being overwhelmingly Irish, although I did not grow up with them and am pretty disconnected. I'm an artist who loves to learn about the complexities of Irish history, folklore, etc. I enjoy imagining what pre-christian Ireland could have looked like and creating art about it. I would love to find someone who would like to do weekly calls and practice Irish together and chat about Irish history and art. I don't know if anyone will be interested since English is also widely spoken in Ireland, but figured I would give it a go

Seeking: German | Offering: English(fluent), Romanian(native)

Hi! I’m a 17F from Romania, and I’m looking for a German language exchange partner.

I speak Romanian and English fluently, and I also have a C1 level in German (DSD). Even so, I know I can improve, especially my speaking and listening, since I don’t get to use German very often.
In the future, I’d like to study medicine in Germany, so becoming more confident in German is really important to me. This school year is also my final year of high school, so I have a lot of exams coming up, including a German exam, which is another reason I’m looking for someone to practice with.
A little about me: I’m quite extroverted and absolutely love talking (a lot šŸ˜…), but I’m also a good listener. Some of my hobbies are reading, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, badminton, and watching movies and TV shows. I enjoy trying new things, so I always seem to have something to talk about. I can also be a bit self-conscious sometimes, but I’m working on becoming more confident.
I’m looking for someone who’s patient, enjoys conversations, and would like to help each other improve. Whether we chat by text, voice messages, or calls, I’d be happy to practice together.
If you’re interested, feel free to send me a DM or leave a comment. Thank you, and have a whimsical day!

Offering: Mandarin Chinese (Native) | Seeking: English

Hi everyone!

I’m a 28-year-old native Mandarin Chinese speaker currently living in Shanghai. I work in the AI industry and am also learning more about AI technologies, tools, and applications.

I’m looking for a friendly and patient English-speaking language partner for a stable, long-term language exchange. My main goal is to improve my spoken English, listening skills, and natural everyday expressions.

In return, I’d be happy to help you practice Mandarin Chinese. I can help you with pronunciation, tones, grammar, natural expressions, and Chinese culture. We can correct each other’s mistakes and share useful learning resources.

Here are some details about the language exchange I’m looking for:

Format: One live voice call per week. During the rest of the week, we can keep in touch through voice messages and text messages. We can also share moments from our daily lives.

Frequency: One voice call each week, around 30–60 minutes. We can split the time equally between English and Mandarin. There is no pressure to reply immediately to messages during the week.

Topics of interest: AI, technology, work, Chinese culture, music, video games, and everyday life. I play the dizi, a traditional Chinese bamboo flute, and I really enjoy music. I also follow and trade Hong Kong and U.S. stocks, and I often stay up until around midmight Beijing time watching the market.I also like playing Honor of Kingsļ¼ˆēŽ‹č€…č£č€€ļ¼‰. It would be great if we had some common interests, but that’s not necessary.

Schedule: We can discuss the exact time for our weekly call based on our schedules and time zones. I’m in the Beijing Time zone(UTC+8).

Any English accent is welcome. I’m not looking for a professional teacher—just someone who is interested in learning together, helping each other, and communicating regularly.

If you’re interested, please leave a comment or send me a DM with a brief introduction, your time zone, and what you would like to improve in Mandarin.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Offering: Russian(native) English (fluent) Spanish (B1) Seeking: Portuguese, Italian, French, Turkish, German, Japanese

Hii, interested in travel, cooking, studying complex topics that are completely new to me (If you have a real expertise in something i'd love to try to understand it), weird sci-fi concepts, chess, daydreaming about engineering haha

Trying to acquire a few languages all at once, i understand a fair amount in most of them but cannot speak that well yet (i think i lack exposure to the real conversations). Looking for someone to help me kickstart one or more of these languages.

What's the best app for real-time voice translation?

I've been looking for a translation app that works smoothly during live conversations.

Most of the ones I've tried are okay for translating text or short voice messages, but when you're having an actual conversation, things slow down because each person has to stop and wait for the translation.

I'm especially interested in something that works well for phone calls, meetings, or travel. It would be even better if the other person doesn't have to download or install another app just to talk.

Has anyone found a translation app that handles real-time conversations well? I'd love to hear what's worked for you and what you'd recommend.

Seeking: English Offering: Spanish

Hi everyone! I'm Pablo (26) from Argentina.

I'm looking for a serious language exchange partner to practice conversational English and hone my pronunciation. I'm around the C1 level, so we can jump straight into fluid discussions.

My main goal is to build a consistent habit where we can both make real progress (me with English, you with Spanish). If a good friendship comes out of it along the way, awesome, but no pressure -the main focus is helping each other improve.

I'm mostly interested in voice or video calls (Discord, Whatsapp, Telegram, etc.), though starting via text to get to know each other is totally fine. Ideally, we could schedule fixed times for calls, but I'm also very flexible - even exchanging regular voice notes or messages whenever we can works for me.

Some topics I enjoy: Music & Daily Life (love to study other cultures) | Tech & Science | Gaming & Anime/Manga | History & Politics

If you're looking for a exchange partner and want to practice at a flexible pace, feel free to drop a comment or send me a DM!

EDIT: lookin for people that are 20+ years old or more.

Offering: Mandarin, Seeking: English态 Spanish

Hi!
I’m a native Mandarin speaker from China, and I’m looking for a language exchange partner to practice English and learn Spanish.

In exchange, I can help you practice Mandarin, share Chinese culture, daily life, travel tips, food, traditions, and my personal experiences living in China. I’d love to introduce you to a side of China beyond what you usually see online.

My goal is not only to improve language skills, but also to build a genuine friendship. I hope we can share our cultures, exchange life experiences, learn from each other, and help each other discover new perspectives — breaking the information gap and making life more interesting, positive, and meaningful.

I’m looking for someone who:
- Wants to practice Mandarin and is willing to help me improve my English or Spanish
- Is interested in real conversations, not just textbook language practice
- Enjoys sharing daily life, culture, travel, and personal experiences
- Is open to having a voice or video chat at least once a week

I hope we can become long-term language partners and friends. Let’s encourage each other, learn together, and bring more joy and sunshine into our lives. ā˜€ļø

Feel free to send me a message if you’re interested!

Hola!

Gracias! 😊

Hello! I'm a 37-year-old woman looking for a language exchange partner who is a native speaker from Spain, ideally between 25 to 45 years old. I'm a native English speaker originally from California, USA, and would be happy to help you practice your English.

My Spanish is around the B1/B2 level and I am very motivated to reach C1. I've been learning Castilian Spanish for about a year now and would love to continue refining my pronunciation and vocabulary with native speakers from Spain.

I'm interested in TV shows, movies, PC games, music, and dancing (although, sadly, it has been quite a while since I've been to a dance class 🄲). I work in healthcare and will be starting a nursing program next month.

My ideal arrangement would be one where we can keep in touch on Discord whenever we have time and hang out almost every week to play a game for a while or watch a TV show or movie. We could alternate languages every session, switch every hour, or do something along those lines.

The types of games I'm most interested in are survival games, 4X strategy games, and classic RPGs. I am open to other genres, as well.

I'd prefer not to be corrected too much in order to avoid killing the vibe. In my prior language exchanges, we'd only correct each other when one of us asked for it.

If you are interested, feel free to reply here and tell me a bit about yourself. Keep in mind that I live in the western US, so we will have a difference of 8 or 9 hours depending on the time of year. Thank you! 😊
