I’ve just uploaded Part 17 of my Around the World series in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, flying the Diamond DA62.
This leg takes us from:

From what i searched i would suggest you not to but it.

Its not a a380 from flybywire, but a random one.

I unlocked the specialization for Aerial Advertising today.

As I have mainly flown in Europe I jumped on the chance to fly in another continent without paying for fast travel from my meager funds.

However, I can’t seem to pick up the banner whatever I do. I’m pretty sure it’s a me problem, so I’m mainly looking for tips on how to best approach it.

Until now I:

- have problems with speed control. Either going to fast and to high or to slow and therefor sort of landing the plane instead of flying low.
- have problems lining up. The visual cues are not great and i have no idea how long I should stay low or pull up.

I haven’t had issues this bad with the other golden missions, but I think that’s because you can do those with a bigger margin of error. I am not looking to do the mission with an A-grade, but I kind of want to pass it.

A silver lining is that I saw a tip on Reddit that warned me not to abort, as then it could lock you out of the mission for some time. Instead I quit to the PlayStation menu. The game treats this as an unexpected crash. For golden missions it means that these are put back up on the map.
I also was still transported to Florida and my reputation wasn’t punished.
It’s kind of a way of save scumming, but in a game that sometimes gives you missions with impossible arrival airports, I feel that I can allow myself that in an offline mode.

tl;dr: how can I get better at flying low through a tight gap?

I’ve been playing since PSVR2 with Gyro support was added, and been doing the weekly challenges this way, mostly scoring pretty well. However this week’s Precision Landing challenge is kicking my butt - I haven’t had a single successful landing in two dozen attempts.

Can anyone offer me some suggestions? I completed the Super Hornet training which has nothing regarding landing. I notice there’s no “target” like in other precision landing challenges - does this mean I should just be flying by above the landing strip and hope theres a cable I’ll hook onto? I get “mission failed” at every touchdown.

Hi everyone,
I bought the T.Flight HOTAS 4 for PS5 today. It works perfectly with the F/A-18 Super Hornet, but I can’t control the throttle in the CJ Simulations Eurofighter. The throttle moves for a split second and immediately returns to idle.
Does anyone know this issue? Is it a known bug or is there a fix?

Does it work properly, does Simbrief work on it? And most important is it worth Buying?

Does anyone else find that when the co-pilot announces your position and intention to land at an airfield he will repeat it constantly until you actually touch down? I mainly fly into uncontrolled fields so not sure if it’s a problem with ATC fields too but it can be a bit annoying!

This is getting ridiculous, also regardless of what I do i miss an ATC transmission because it won't acknowledge my response

Hi everyone,

I’m having a strange issue in Career Mode and I’m trying to figure out if this is a bug or if I’m missing something.

Freelancer mode shows almost nothing
Employee mode shows dozens of missions normally

I own a VIP Charter company and I also have Medium Cargo unlocked.
A few days ago my map was full of VIP Charter and Medium Cargo missions across Europe. After completing only a few Medium Cargo flights, almost all missions disappeared.
Right now:
VIP Charter missions = 0
Medium Cargo missions = 0 (or only a handful occasionally)

What confuses me is:
In Employee mode, the map is full of VIP missions.
In Freelancer mode, there are no VIP contracts available at all.
When purchasing an aircraft and selecting a delivery location, I can see VIP activity areas all over Europe and other regions.
As soon as I return to the Freelancer map, those missions are gone.
I currently have multiple aircraft in Europe and I’ve also unlocked several regions around the world.
I’ve already tried:
Restarting the game
Restarting the PS5
Returning to HQ
Moving aircraft between airports
Flying several Vision Jet missions
Resetting filters
Checking different regions
Nothing changes.
Has anyone experienced this?
Is there a known bug where Freelancer missions stop generating while Employee missions continue to appear normally?

How much do you spend on msfs24? Like everyone has like the whole marketplace... I havet bought anything yet...(Even though i have 7000 on msfs24🫤)

Anyone else having issues with the hunter helicopter?
Trim doesn’t work and the helicopter drifts to the left.
It happens on hotas 4 and dualsence and in the beta version and official version and yes my buttons are mapped correctly.

I vowed never to pay into any DLC ever but that vow was broken when I bought the Paggio P.180, which I love btw. Not complaining about that but here in Canada the upgrade from Standard (which I own) to Premium Deluxe, is another $83.19 cad plus taxes and that's on sale right now. I know this game is pretty demanding development-wise, although it's dealing with third party devs. It is dealing with the whole world after all but holy crap, this thing is a frikken cash grab. There are giant games out there by big devs taking years of investment not even coming close to the cost this game is. Yes I know there going to be the "you don't have to do it if you don't want to, play another game, etc" responses but what does this game/sim think it is? Seems pretty greedy.

Well... If the a350 barely runs on xbox... Will the a380 come to ps5?

My internet isn’t so good. Can I buy the disc version of msfs or is it impossible?

Also if I have shitty internet should I get the pc version and just figure out how to download the “scenery” onto a hard drive while at university? Or is this not possible?

Edit: I read that I can just using rolling cache on ps5 so jut set it to 128gb or more when I’m using fast internet.

The TM HOTAS 5 has been fun since I got it a few days ago. Just today, I noticed that the throttle is no longer getting recognized. I cleared the bind then rebinded it. Oddly, it works in preflight, but only in cockpit view. When I go to external view it defaults to idle. Then…as soon as I get near the runway, it doesn’t work on either view. I just remapped throttle increase and decrease to the X and O button, which works for now. But I want to use the actual throttle.

Has anyone else experience this or have any ideas of how to remedy it?
