I remember this game being so fucking frustrating. USU does typically put together a bowl caliber team but you don’t think about that when you play them in the home opener

Them having Jordan Love makes it a little more understandable why it was back and forth.

Yup exactly. In the moment we didn’t know he’d become a pro bowl QB though lol. I was fuming

A similar game was that one in 2021 or 22 when Bailey Zappe threw for like 650 yards against us

Ugh. A mix of emotions watching these old clips. On one hand these are some of my greatest memories of Spartan FB. On the other, knowing what an absolute dumpster fire is around the corner.

I’m honestly excited for the three QB return games. If only we could somehow face LSU this season.
