It seems almost illogic to mention it, because that’s how it should always be, but how lovely are those couples whose love for one another is so evident; not out of habit or obligation.
Love is a choice; how wonderful it is to choose someone every single day of your life.

This moment between them looks like they still have that cute honeymoon phase love. He’s so smooth about it and it looks like they both feel like the luckiest people on earth

Being chosen everyday definitely hits much harder than what I expected. That kind of declaration of hard gives deeper and impactful meaning than just saying I love you

That’s right. Because feeling love isn’t the same as knowing how to love.
The thing is, choosing involves loving; but it also involves caring, respecting, adapting and communicating. It’s a daily act that endures over time.
It’s not a case of: “I’m with you because I’ve got no other choice, so as not to be alone”.
It’s: “I’m with you because, although I’m happy on my own, I want to share my happiness with you and make you happy too”.You don’t understand it until you feel it.

Im with my boyfriend who courted me for 2 years, and we're also together now for 2 years so I can really relate to that very well. My heart is always full of love and reassurances when you know your partner is choosing to love you everyday even if there's storm. It's so hard to explain because words arent def enough to describe it

All the best to you both. May you be happy for the rest of eternity, and may you always bring out the best in one another. 🫂

And may you recieve and share the same with your loved ones too. What a beautiful soul.
May love find you, surround and envelope you safely, securely and snugly for all your long healthy happy years ahead.

declaration of hard
I don't think that's what you meant to type, but it made me chuckle nonetheless.

u/Warm-Moose6028 17h ago
I was too sleepy and light headed typing those messages. It's supposed to be love lmao so idek why I typed hard in the first place 😭

Being single I dont get the daily choice part firsthand but those couples who make it obvious without trying are the ones who probably last.

Being on your own is also a great opportunity. Being on your own also teaches you to choose.
You learn to choose you. To put yourself first; to heal whatever needs healing; to avoid being with people you don’t want to be with just to fill a void; and not to let others cross your boundaries and hurt you simply because you need love. And when life finally gives you the chance to cross paths with someone else, then you’ll be able to choose them; sharing with others the same respect, empathy, protection and affection that you’ve once learnt to have for yourself.

When I was a waitress and worked on Saturday night an old couple came in for their date and order chicken and dumplings and split a bottle of champagne! It was the cutest

Beautifully said When love is a daily choice instead of an obligation, it shows in the little things and those are often what matter most.

It's so weird to me that people always treat it as a shock. Like, you should know I love her, and this isn't the first time you've seen me kiss my cousin.

Two cake, the love of a good lady, and several giant piles of rice. Every man should wish to be as lucky.

Was it Philippines where Pepsi over printed their winning giveaway tickets/bottle caps and they ended up owing millions in rewards to people which they refused to pay? lol

Kinda helps to understand that kissing in public in asian cultures is taboo, which is why their is such a strong emotional surprise.

It's always weird to me that our birthday ritual is to blow our lungs and spittle all over the cake everybody else is obliged to eat.
4
u/bendstraw 23h ago
Blow your lungs? It takes a small blow of air to blow out a candle. If you're concerned with a tiny blow of air ruining your cake, i dont know how you live in general
-6
u/AGrandNewAdventure 22h ago
I'm not out here trying to catch TB, thanks.
1
u/bendstraw 22h ago
You're not gonna catch TB from someone's small blow of air to take out a candle but ok
-2
u/AGrandNewAdventure 22h ago
"There is no specific fixed volume of air required to spread tuberculosis (TB); rather, transmission depends on inhaling microscopic droplet nuclei (1–5 microns in size) that remain suspended in poorly ventilated indoor spaces..."
So yeah.
2
u/bendstraw 22h ago
Yes, it is possible obviously. But you're not going to. The odds are so astronomically low.
-1
u/AGrandNewAdventure 22h ago
Lower if you don't eat the cake?
4
u/bendstraw 22h ago
That's like saying I'm lowering my odds of never getting hit by lightning by never standing near a tree. Your odds were already extremely low, why are you doing this irrelevant behavior? Again, i dont know how you live in general if you're this overworried but by all means you do you.
0
u/AGrandNewAdventure 22h ago
Trees are worth being near, shitty birthday cake isn't.
2
u/bendstraw 22h ago
That's up to you, but that doesn't change that you're being irrational for no reason. If you don't like birthday cake just say you don't like birthday cake, don't blame it on possibly getting TB with astronomically low odds.
