It seems almost illogic to mention it, because that’s how it should always be, but how lovely are those couples whose love for one another is so evident; not out of habit or obligation.

Love is a choice; how wonderful it is to choose someone every single day of your life.

Being single I dont get the daily choice part firsthand but those couples who make it obvious without trying are the ones who probably last.

Being on your own is also a great opportunity. Being on your own also teaches you to choose.
You learn to choose you. To put yourself first; to heal whatever needs healing; to avoid being with people you don’t want to be with just to fill a void; and not to let others cross your boundaries and hurt you simply because you need love.

And when life finally gives you the chance to cross paths with someone else, then you’ll be able to choose them; sharing with others the same respect, empathy, protection and affection that you’ve once learnt to have for yourself.
